An old horse stall that was incredibly transformed into a cute BnB. Only a few minute walk to the old town, reasonably priced, secure parking, and very nice owner.

    That we had to leave.

Firstly, the interaction with Manuela, who was so hospitable, provided us with lots of information on certain places we wanted to visit. The room looked like something from Best Hotels in the world, and it was just amazing value for money. I would go on to say that the breakfast supplied wine, cheese, ham, milk, eggs, biscuits, etc. was also delicious. We had his and hers robes, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and even a toothbrush, which came in very handy as my charger broke. It was actually a very historical building as it used to be the stables of the villa that belonged to the family. This was influenced in the interfering as the horse rings and eating troughs had been integrated in the bathroom . The wooden furniture was all individually selected to be displayed, and being such a big room, it all looked amazing. Also, we had a safe parking spot and access to an outside glass house. There were lots of restaurants to try as well as the fascinating area of Gravina in Puglia, which was just beautiful.

A marvellously appointed, secluded retreat from the bustle of a lively town

Some simple information about locations beyond the town of Gravina would be most useful. Sites within the town itself were often closed and although Gravina is a very interesting location, its complex lanes make it quite challenging to grasp on first contact. Towns such as Altamura and Matera are rewarding places to visit, but others such as Bitonto, Castel del Monte and Ruvo di Puglia, although distant, are worth seeking out. Venosa, however, does not merit the long haul.

The beautifully converted barn has superb facilities. The provision of food for breakfast was very generous and comprehensive. Parking was off-road and very safe. The wifi was excellent. Questions to the owner were responded to very promptly.
