Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe room really was pretty basic, and not somewhere you'd want to spend much time.
The accommodation was very basic, but really ticked all the boxes for a simple bed and breakfast. The excellent price made it a good value option, especially with the included breakfast.

MaltaLocation is distant from Bologna centre and it was very difficult to get a taxi. Taxis were only available from the next town / city - Imola - and the taxi meters were switched on when driver left Imola rather than when they picked me up. Wifi was only available from the reception area and breakfast room!
Simple, dated hotel, but sufficiently comfortable for a short stay. Staff friendly and helpful

Easy access, location is ok, if you are tourist good for one night if you just need a place to sleep and you travel by car. Room is clean and cosy. We were at January so good thing was working heating in room. Staff prepared room for us and was warm and comfortable when we arrived. Breakfast very basic, mainly pattiseries, but ok.

South AfricaThe breakfast is lacking a warm serving, say eggs and bacon to be added. Staff is not hospitable. Spend more time on the cellphone than to make sure, if you good or need something. Do not greet unless you greet first. Do not offer coffee unle1ss you ask. Loud discussions over the phone inside the restaurant. Offer cereals, but you have to ask for the milk !!!!!! Staff congregate at a breakfast table and have loud discussions. The bathroom floor was not clean.
The location to Imola race track worked well for us. Ample parking. Very good restaurants nearby.

SerbiaThere is no reception in hotel, staff in restoraunt during breakfast and cleaning stuff does not speak English at all. In some moment one lady was even rude while I talked on English to her. There is no wifi in room. Some of rooms have broken door lokers (as you open each by passcode). In shower in bathroom there is no space to turn arround. Quite old equiped…

IcelandIt was not a very nice experience to stay there. When we came our room was a mess and the toilet seat was broken. They gave us another rooms to stay in the first night but then we had to go back to the other room. We could hear everything that was going on in the hotel. The last morning other guests unlocked the room and came in while we were sleeping. I woke up to the unlocking sound and saw the woman kind of startled of seeing someone.
The breakfast was okay and the staff were okay.

PolandHotel Dozza in Dozza, Italy. I have booked accommodation in this hotel through Booking.com for six days in June 2023. My wife and I traveled by car and we drove over 500 km to reach Hotel Dozza in late PM. The hotel is “self Service” there is nobody in the hotel lobby. In order to register you have to phone someone using provided phone number written on the door to the hotel. What happens if you happen to have an overseas phone number? You have to pay for this phone call big time. After a few attempts finally someone answered. The person asks for a confirmation number. You start then, nervously searching for that number that happens to be in your car. So after a few minutes, the person on the phone gives you an access code that will open the main entry door and the key to your room is on the counter. You get to your room. Remember no one is in the lobby. You are tired of driving over 500 km and want to make a cup of coffee or tea for yourself and your travel companion. There is nobody to provide such a service. There is no electric cattle provided. It is hot also and you are thirsty but there is no small fridge provided as well. All your drinks are warm and taken out from the hot car. All restaurants in Italy as far as I know open at about 7 PM so you are out of luck and have to wait hungry for a restaurant to open so that finally you can order pizza. Of six electrical plugs only two work and you need to charge your phone. Electrical plugs that work don’t always make a contact so you need to improvise. We have provided breakfast. The breakfast was the same every day. Croissants, jam, yogurt, corn cereal, nothing else. Can you imagine having this for six days? I was so pissed that I started looking for other hotels or B&B in the area but was out of luck. So, tired travelers make their own judgment before they book accommodation in this hotel. Thanks to Booking.com for helping resolve many problems with this hotel.

ItalyWrong room... Not serviced still with previous guest's condition. I have fotos. 1. No indication of breakfast, no time and no indication of where it is. 2. Could not find WiFi password in room. Info was on wall of the Hotel entrance.. 3. Tap of shower had to use brute force to operate. Handle connection to base was full of gunk. 4. Shower curtain broken 5. In the upgraded room there was still a wet towel from previous guest 6. No glass not even paper glass 7. Hairdryer (old) just made a horrible noise but no air.. 8. Do we want to talk about the elevator ? Where there is a sign that it should be used by one person only? This is a 4 person lift.. It took 87 seconds to go up 2 floors!!! 9. How about breakfast? What breakfast? No eggs, no jam, no bread. Just a coffee and a Brioche? 10. Overall a vote of 2 for the parking and easy location. But that's got nothing to do with the room....! That is ZERO PS: IF I COULD I WOULD DEMAND A REFUND.!!
