Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EstoniaAlfonso is a very good host. The place is at a very good and quiet place and yet, you are never far away from the center. Pompei itself is a very good place to be on holiday. I loved it the most from my holiday in Italy. I can only recommend 😊

FinlandOnly "bad" things were that the bathroom door didn't work that well and there was some room to do better on the cleaning part. Nothing major tho!
We got what we were expecting, the room was as it was in the photos. We enjoyed our stay and got all the help we needed at any and all times even for the most silly questions (there were many). We were well taken care of. We could and want to absolutely recommend! Accommodation was near the pompei train station and restaurants ect. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

United KingdomThe entrance and stairs of the building are bit negleted, however this did not affect our stay.
We booked this accommodation to be near another friend nearby. It is located at the start of Via di Nola, so is quite a short distance from the Santuario and main square. I normally book in town centre, because roads and places are more tidy, however the area was not bad. Bed was comfortable, bathroom very large, bedroom was a ood size, very tidy and clean, there was a common kitchen area with some tables. The balcony was also available with a small table, but was too cold to use that. We had breakfast outside, because there is a proper bakery-pasticceria- bar nearby. Cost was appropriate, the host was very avilable and lovely.

Czech RepublicThe shower wasn't hot enough in winter times. The bed can be hard for some people (not big deal for us).
Great location, quiet place. The owner was really nice and helpful! Gave us some tips. Enough towels. Everything was clean. Air conditioner worked well to heat the room in winter times. WE felt really safe there.

BulgariaThe garbage bags were not thrown out, so they overfilled the first day we were there. The next day they were thrown out though. There were no mosquito nets on the windows of our room. Near the house there is a barn where some livestock is kept, so there was this manure smell - not too bad, but when it rained it was very strong.
The communication with the host was easy and fast. The host is very kind, speaks good english. He gave a lots of useful tips to us. Helped with the parking and other things. Rooms are big. Place is very quiet, although near the center. The rooms are clean. Bathroom is fine, shower works fine, which is important bonus for me (considering other places I stayed in, always having problems with showers). There is a nice kitchen, and fridge for common use, coffee machine, plates, etc.

Czech RepublicThe kitchen in the apartment was generally very neglected, but the room was clean. There was no functional coffee machine in the apartment. There is not a single pot in the kitchen to heat water for tea and coffee, not even a bread knife. I aks for cup for tea and next morning lady, who works for accommodation brought two mugs. Unfortunately, this same lady sometimes has a very aggressive behavior in the apartment, my daughter was afraid of her when she was banging on our door very brutally and i felt very uncomfortable with the child in the room. The lady brought a kettle, which was not in the apartment. The owner kindly offered us breakfast in a nearby place, but we didnt use it, my child dont drink coffe and we didnt have time anyway..I think the owner tries to please the guests, but has bad staff. I would never return to this place.
The accommodation is close to the center and archeological park in a quiet side street and in the morning sunrise time you can hear the mooing of cows and roosters crowing. We didn't mind. Unfortunately, the cows are a bit smelly even in the accommodation.

DenmarkThe bed was too soft and not long enough (for one who is 190 cm). There were some Black hairs (not ours) on the floor multiple places around the room and bathroom.
The location of the hotel was Perfect! Close to the train station, pompeii and some amazing restaurants in the city center. The owner was very nice and gave us some good tips for dinner and things to do. Spacious bathroom which was very nice!
