Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The shower was lukewarm.
Secure parking and plenty of room. We loved the country feel, plus we could walk to everything. Packaged pastries for breakfast and juice and yoghurt.

good location close to city centre and very nice host. Enzo welcomed us to his B&B personally and gave tips on where to go and what to do. Pretty vegetable garden in front of the house.

The neighbourhood is not the best and also if you are a light sleeper, prepare yourself for noises from the animals since 4 am
The good mattress. After a week in Sicily sleeping on mattresses resembling stones, this was very highly appreciated. The apartment was clean, spacious and overall very nice. Also having a balcony was a big plus.

These factors DIDN’T bother us but be aware there appears to be some type of disco tent that played loud music but did finish promptly at a reasonable hour. Also a crazy early start from MANY roosters, a donkey some ducks, chickens, a whole “animal orchestra” at 5.30am. We found this almost adorable for this amazing oasis in the center of a city but for some this maybe super frustrating. Also no protein at breakfast. Super simple.
Location is absolutely perfect to visit Palermo. The area is slightly rough but Enzo’s place has amazing security. Parking was free & again super secure. The space was clean & comfortable. 10 mins walk to an arch that starts you along via Vittoria Emanuele. Very affordable pizzeria 5 mins down street.

Great stay at Enzo. Enzo is very responsive and super friendly. The location is excellent and the ability to park your car for free and safe is a great asset. Breakfast was good as well!

It's a really specific place, first of all apartment is best, everything was prepared for comfortable stay. Clean, nice, safe. Area around apartment are really specific, I don't know what exact it is, but you can feel this charm of place. Maybe sometime outside you feel as unsafe place but nothing happened us. So feel free sty there and enjoy it 🙂 big advantage is park car inside

Breakfast in the room was packaged food, but tea and coffee range was great, and it is best to go out for breakfast in Palermo anyway!!
So spacious and clean, nice to have the secure parking round the back for peace of mind. A really simple beautiful building, comfy bed. Loved overlooking the allotment area and hearing the cockerel in the morning- a rare sound in a city! Great location as it provides a great start point for a walk all the way into the busy part of Palermo

It's a flat in a poor but safe neighborhood near the historical center of Palermo with private parking. Value for money!

The fact that Booking.com mislead us with regard to wifi, which could have been a serious problem.
We met Enzo on arrival, he showed us the off street parking and then the unit. It is a modern large apartment, airy and bright, overlooking a small market garden. Unfortunately we discovered that Booking.com incorrectly stated that wifi was available but Enzo fixed us up with a SIM card, which we were grateful for. Breakfast was adequate. The unit is in a quiet location, about 25 minutes walk (for us) to the centre of the old town.

Clear instructions how to get there. Lovely place. Breakfast set up for us. Good location. And thanks for the umbrellas which helped us a lot in the deluge of rain !

FYI each guest needs a towel, an yogurt, and two coffee capsules for breakfast. Also it would be nice to provide more toilet papers. So we did not need to ask multiple times

Tutto perfetto! Beautiful, brand new and very clean and big apartment with air conditioning, balcony and vegetable garden and private parking. Super localisation - close to the Old City of Palermo. The host is very kind and helpful. My flight was delayed and Enzo waiting for me at night with keys, pizza & vino. I highly recommend!
