Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe loved our stay at the small huts. They are decorated in a rustically style, are clean and comfortable and smell nice (each room has another smell). The breakfast is a delicious vegetarian breakfast, with a high many choices, comprising tasty locally grown vegetables, bread, pastries, cheese and very good olives and spreads. We could hardly wait for breakfast in the morning :-) The area is so nice and quiet, away from the noisy tourist traps while still being 10 minutes drive from the nearest shore. The beach is in a protected area so its dunes has vegetation growing. We were there in May and the beach was nearly empty. It was one of the best and most natural (wild) beaches we saw in Sardinia.

HungaryThe service was really friendly, and the round houses were great. The several separated relaxation zones were good, though they need some more work. The pre-ordered vegeterian dinners were exeptionally great.

United StatesThe drive up the hill was anxiety inducing
Essenza was the most unique of our stays in Sardinia. The property was so relaxing and beautiful and a great place to just hang out and enjoy nature. Our room was very charming and had an old world feel to it. The breakfast was really lovely and the room that we had in it was special in itself. We also had a wonderful massage in their garden patio.

United KingdomNo feeling of welcome when we got there. We were the only people around and had been warned that no one would be there to greet us. However it took time to find our hut. Through a misunderstanding we didn’t order any food so had to go to the local town fora very disappointing meal. The hut was small and not well lit for reading at night. We felt happier meeting a nice young girl the next morning who gave us a nice breakfast. Very expensive for what it actually provided
peaceful quiet location on the side of a hill. Nice breakfast

United KingdomAs there is no restaurant on site or anywhere nearby, we would have really appreciated a kettle and tea/coffee in our rooms. It was a bit chilly in April and a hot drink would have been lovely.
Stunning location. Beautiful views and a lovely cosy room. Something really different. Breakfast was delicious and was the first place in Sardinia where we could get vegan/vegetarian options with ease.

Switzerland- the mattress wasn't soft - even if it had a nice terrace, we couldn’t enjoy having dinner outside as there were many hornets
The view was amazing! The hostess was nice and welcoming. The accommodation was unique and very special. Good breakfast (you can notice many small details like the tissues/teapot from the table are the same matching room color). I recommend visiting Spiaggia di Porto Ainu, it's very close and nicer than other overrated beaches.

AustriaThe shower is really small for tall people like myself and the mattress was a bit smelly.
Special little place up a hill with lots of plants, flowers and gorgeous living huts. Breakfast, picnic dinner and massages were fantastic and the owner was very sweet and helpful. The huts are cute and have everything you need - make sure to bring your own shower gel and shampoo though. And the few scattered seating places all head a beautiful view over hills and meadows and also towards the sea.

United KingdomThis was advertised as a 4-star hotel, and I expected facilities to match that. However, there was nobody to greet us when we arrived, no restaurant, so we had to purchase the expensive picnic. We ended up heating up our own food in a microwave and eating on the bed, since there was not a table. Overall extremely disappointing. The advertising should be changed to reflect that this is not a hotel, and make it clear there are very limited food options nearby.
The huts have beautiful views, and very peaceful.
