Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsTough beds, price, booked a room for 3, which was said to be upgraded to junior suite at checkin but still seemed a room for 2 and 3rd bed was not installed and was just a sofa-bed in the end. For the the price of 377 a night was too high.

AustraliaI was extremely disappointed with the service, especially considering the premium price per night. Upon arrival, and well aware that a cot for our 9-month-old, which we had requested online, might not be guaranteed, I made a point to double-check with the front desk staff. Despite reassurances from a rather dismissive attendant that a cot had been arranged, we were frustrated to find none in our room at check-in, four hours later. This oversight necessitated a frantic call to the front desk while our baby, needing a nap, was left crying. It took another 20 minutes for the cot to be delivered to our room. Additionally, the communication between staff members was poor. We had arranged for assistance with our luggage upon checkout, calling the lobby well in advance. However, this was not communicated internally, forcing me to rearrange this during the busy checkout process. This delay nearly caused us to miss our train to Florence. For the amount charged, I expected seamless service, which was sadly not the case. This experience was not just disappointing but unacceptable for a hotel of your repute and pricing. I hope this feedback prompts a review of your customer service practices to ensure that future guests do not encounter similar frustrations.
The location was great, near the train station and a 20 minute walk into the main square.

IsraelBecause its located near the train station, tons of homeless people and crime. Smells like one big urine pool. Then when you check out they tell you you have to pay city taxes, almost 40 euro. Not the hotel nor booking mentioned city taxes before or on original booking. I can’t believe this days they use minibar, and more to that they spread snacks outside too so you think it’s complementary but its not!!! To top this they tried to charge me for mini bar charges I didn’t use. Bathroom was terrible, shower cord short, and all water spray out.
It’s location near the main train station

United StatesBreakfast: overcooked green beans are their choice. The selection and quality were mediocre in the culinary center of Italy. Noise from street people near the station. Staff created an unnecessary problem with payment. The area has a ghetto feeling in some areas.
Close to trains. Comfortable lobby.

RussiaUpon check-in, the hotel staff showed themselves to be disgusting!!! and the whole impression of a generally not bad hotel was irrevocably spoiled. The room had already been paid for through booking (180 euros), and upon check-in they asked for a credit card to pay the city tax of 8 euros (in other hotels the city tax is paid upon check-out). The card terminal did not work. I didn’t have cash euros with me, and the hotel didn’t accept cash dollars. Because of this, the hotel staff refused to check me into my room for half an hour. I had 2 children with me, one of them was 1 year old. all this time, my children walked around the hotel lobby and did not understand why they were not checking us in. when I said that this was bad service, the girl at the reception answered me - “so what!??”. Only after I started swearing and said that I would go to the ATM and withdraw cash to pay 8 euros of city tax - they gave me a room key. a lot of nerves and time were wasted. I will not return to this hotel again

SwitzerlandAlthough they have claimed gym facility on their page, the gym hall was closed. The biggest problem was on the departure: after we checked out, the parking spot has asked us to pay 30 Euro. We have told them in their page, it was mentioned that the private parking is available and if the spaces are available there is no charge. When we arrived in the hotel, the parking spot was empty and there was no warning that this area is not belonging for the hotel and managed by private company. When we went to reception to tell them that their information on the page is misleading; they refused to accept the information with a very rude manner and forced us to pay the amount. Actually we were surprised that a nice hotel is trying to mislead their clients by saying that the parking MAY be free or MAY BE not free. We finally paid the amount but will ask hotel to reimburse the amount to us immediately.
Everything was pretty much ok until our departure

SwitzerlandThere are a few things: - I was traveling by car, and wrote and call to reserve a parking. Despite all endurances it was booked, they parking guy didn’t have my name on the records (they had plenty of space though) - entrance to the garage is not that “intuitive”, perhaps worth a warning for people not used to this kind of entrance - my room developed some strange noise and had to change room at 2am as it was not possible to sleep. They didn’t even offer me a bottle of water as an excuse… not that customer friendly - hotel is big and clean and somehow classy… 20 or 30 years ago. Quite heavy dark decor in rooms. -
Location for people traveling via train is excellent

ItalyThe temperature of our room wasn’t dimmable so we spend the first night sleeping with the windows opened because it was extremely hot, we called 4 times in order to get it fix but nothing happened, then they offered us another room that was fine and the temperature was dimmable but we had to call the staff 2 times ( different days)because there was no hot water for the shower … things that you don’t expect to run in to when staying in a 4 stars

United KingdomThe ratings would have been way better if this wasn't for the fact that my card was charged for the " city tax" when in fact I paid that tax in cash upon the check out. Got in touch with the hotel via booking.com chat and was completely ignored. It's about principals and paying attention to details as mistakes can happen to everyone. Ignoring your guest concerns, especially when it comes to money, is absolutely shocking. Make sure when you pay in cash to ask for the receipt!!!

PakistanThey claim to have a concierge, but they don’t. I asked for the train schedule to Florence and they told me to go the train station and look at the board. They were so unhelpful that I was shocked, I am use to hotels printing out schedules and helping you book. In addition one of the lifts shakes like it is going to fall down.
It was near the train station and not far from town. Rooms were not bad.
