Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesRoom was a bit small and their photos which reflected a “triple” size room were misleading in my opinion. Our room had no view as it was at back of building storage area and since we were on first floor we kept the shutters closed.
Good location. The staff was very friendly. We had a great meal at the hotel restaurant and the service at the restaurant and rooftop bar was exceptional.

United KingdomThere was an older guy in the American bar, he was pretty abrupt with both guests & other staff. On our last evening we wanted to have a last drink and cards session in the American bar, as we had done all week... there had been a Symposium Conference gathering and the restaurant was booked out for those guys... not a problem there's plenty of places to eat around the hotel... however they had taken 95% of the bar area just leaving three small table for hotel guests who had paid to stay all week, rather than one nights booking. The older bar man was very rude and said we could not sit on the tables to the rear & the 3 small tables were full and looked like they would be all night ( I don't blame them I would have stayed on the stable all night too if that was me)... our real issue was we asked is we could be served drinks on the tables outside of the the restaurant but were told that was not possible, we asked if we could be served drinks at the small bar down in reception to be told that bar never opened and we couldn't be served drinks anywhere other that the American bar... 4 star 'HOSPITALITY' should have kicked in & hotel guests should not have suffered in any way due to an outside party as we had been there all week, but this didn't seem to matter one jot when we discussed this with the main reception manager who quite frankly wasn't too bothered... he said the tables in the bar would be available in 10 minutes, but on return to the American bar, fresh drinks had been served and there was no sign we could stay and enjoy our last night in the bar.... this was so disappointing ... check my numerous reviews, I never moan or give false reviews and have travelled extensively... the management need to learn the meaning of HOSPITALITY when bookings are busy... the party was booked way in away advance and there should have been some contingency plan in place for full paying hotel guests...
Central Forum location (as name suggests) means you're right in the middle of everything, the Forum, the Colosseum Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon and more... you won't do better for a hotel's location. Roof top restaurant / breakfast terrace is lovely and relaxing in the morning. The upper American Bar above the restaurant is the perfect low key, relaxed bar with a stunning view over Rome's Forum... I should be a travel writer.... it is an utterly lovely location. The young bar man was funny, attentive and super professional... he made the evenings a bit special

United KingdomIt’s very dated. Almost comedy-like dated. It’s all clean and well looked after but it’s like going back in time. Breakfast was pretty poor too. Cold runny egg and dry, cold bacon.
Amazing location and fantastic view from the roof bar and restaurant.

New ZealandNo iron in the room and they did not seem to have one available for guests.
We just stayed one night on our wedding anniversary before going on a cruse the next day. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel had a lot of those extras that lift the level. The best part of our stay had to be our meal at the hotel restaurant. The staff were amazing and the food was just incredible, let alone the amazing view of the Roman forum at night! Wonderful experience!

United KingdomThey were slightly understaffed so on the first night when the three of us arrived at our room and there were only accommodations for two people, they took a very long time to fix it because there was only one person to manage it all. The American bar is a gorgeous setting but the food and drink were far overpriced! Cocktails minimum 20 euros each.
The roof terrace was absolutely stunning and the location was perfect a stones throw away from the Colosseum!

RomaniaAt some 4th floor rooms are right below the restaurant. If you don't mind screeching chair sounds until 23.00-23.30 then no issue. Also breakfast is extremely minimal.
11/10 for location and views from some of the rooms, rooftop bar, restaurant, etc. Roman bath style of shower.

United KingdomWe were in Rome during a heat wave and the temperature reached nearly 40 degrees in the day time and didn't get much cooler overnight. Unforunately the air conditioning was not powerful enough to bring the temperature down to a comfortable one and so this was an issue.
The location is unrivalled with views over the forum and a very short walk to the Colosseum and close to other key sites in Rome. The property is charming and old fashioned and the connected room was perfect for my family. The staff are very helpful and speak great English.

United StatesThe front desk staff namely “Fabio” was very rude. I made two requests to him for extra pillows and a convertor. I sent my teenage kids to go pick from from desk and they over heard Fabio calling us “Stupid American” while describing our requests to another hotel guest. These stupid Americans will take our business to another hotel. Disappointed!

United StatesThey should have charging stations and the rooms could have been a bit more updated while keeping the authentic feel of the overall hotel. Drinks on the rooftop were the most expensive that I experienced in all my time in Rome. Way overpriced.
The hotel was beautiful, and the location made it easy to walk to whatever we needed. The rooftop deck was a great addition to the experience.
