We missed having a kettle with hot drink making facilities. The noise of chairs being moved on the roof terrace was irritating so late at night. We hadn't realised that breakfast wasn't included in the overall price.

Location was amazing - so close to the Colosseum and opposite The Forum. Also close to restaurants. Room was clean, beds really comfortable and the shutters really did shut out the street noise.

Location was perfect and the staff were really kind and just gave actually two rooms for one price (it was like a huge family room, where are two separated rooms together, no 125-126).

The views from the Americn bar are exceptional - but the drinks are exceedingly expensive.

The room and the views were wonderful. Sadly, the bath in my bathroom was not working (no water) but the staff were very apologetic and delivered an arrangement of spring flowers as way of an apology.

The 4th floor rooms underneath the 5th floor restaurant are not ideal if you want an early night before 11.30pm or to sleep in past 6.00am. This is simply due to the metal tables & chairs being constantly moved about on the tiled floor by guests & staff.

Location is perfect as it is centered in the heart of Rome. Breakfast was very good every day & our room was clean & comfortable.

Room was very small however whereas our friends who paid less had a room which had two beds in it hence was very spacious. THe cost of drinks on the roof top bar were expensive hence didnt spend as much time up there as we would have liked

We used the rooftop bar once but I'm afraid the barman was, I hope, having an off day. We ordered two drinks and sat down. He proceeded to make a cocktail for another guest and then we waited...and waited...while he cleared four tables of glasses/plates, re-set those tables, put the glasses and plates in the dishwasher/sink, tidied the bar area, had a brief chat with his colleague from the restaurant and took a phone call. When we politely reminded him that we were still waiting we were told that he hadn't forgotten but he was on his own and was really busy. Other than us there were 5 people in the bar. We left and didn't return for the remainder of our stay. Worth noting: Although the Air Conditioning controls in the room were working, there was no cool air. We were told the AC chillers are not turned on until May. Perhaps in these heightened times of high energy costs it's a cost saving exercise but guests should be made aware of this, especially as it's very much an advertised selling point. The bar in the lobby (as pictured on Booking.com) was not open either. Presumably seasonal too?

This hotel was chosen based on its close proximity to the ancient sites/sights of Rome, cost and its character/style. In that regard it ticked all the boxes. The rooftop bar was an added bonus. Our corner room had two large windows with great views over the Forum of Nerva and the Forum across from the Via del Fori Imperiali.
