some of the decor was a bit cheap 70s but all on trend for pure nostalgia so it was fun anyway

the location was excellent. we had less than 24 hours in rome and this way we could walk to the Spanish steps, trevi fountain and the colluseum easily, discovering pockets of Ancient ruins and hundreds of beautiful buildings along the way also loved the views of the forum from our bedroom and bathroom. the bathroom was well themed so we had a bath in what felt like Ancient Roman baths, almost! the rooftop restaurant was so gorgeous as was the American bar upstairs. really special. great service too.

Some of the decor could do with an update.

We loved the location. Perfectly positioned for the Forum, Colosseum and also Trevi Fountain. Restaurants and cafes on the doorstep. What we loved most was the wonderful views from the rooftop bar the perfect place to end the day with a beer or cocktail! I’ve stayed in Rome several times and next time I’ll choose this hotel for sure.

The room size is small which is fine if you are staying for a short period of time, however if you are staying longer then it could be an issue. Also the breakfast for 18euro is very expensive for what is on offer and more variety is needed . Also the room that we stayed in also had mould in the bathroom ceiling which we brought to the attention when checking out. Again not a big issue as wasn’t staying for long, however for a 4 star it shouldn’t be an issue

Location is excellent and the staff catered for our late arrival due to a flight delay without any issue

When we arrived, the hotel had overbooked, so we were downgraded to a small room without working A/c on the noisy 4th floor (see above). I have never been downgraded before !The hotel were very good about sorting it the next day and we moved to a lovely room (which we had booked!), but which was still very noisy. Having said that, the hotel did give us a very healthy discount on our total for the inconvenience , which was appreciated. The 4th floor is a huge issue , as the noise from the restaurant above is dreadful. Also, we asked for a restaurant recommendation from the concierge one night in an area close to a concert we were attending - and it was utterly dreadful !

The location and restaurant are excellent. The second room we had (which was the one we originally booked) (the Deluxe Double) was a lovely room, but every room on the 4th floor is spoilt by the horrendous noise coming from the restaurant above which lasted for an hour or so around midnight - a constant scraping of chairs and tables as the restaurant moves all of the tables at the end of the night

I requested a high room overlooking the Forum because we were celebrating my daughters graduation and 18th birthday. I received an email saying I would be getting a high room with the forum view. I was on the 1st floor. There was no room service menu so I didn’t know there was room service until the night before check out. It would have been nice to have dinner in the room. The pictures on the website show a beautiful bathroom with robes and a view. No robes and my view was a concrete wall. No wash cloths. This may be a European thing, I’m not sure. The dinner waiters seemed like my question “are you still serving dinner” was imposing on their time. It just wasn’t great. The gentleman that was always working the desk was nice and tried to help me get to the Vatican.

Disappointed dinner was not possible on the terrace as there was pre-booked wedding which I was not informed about when i checked in. Room was like a broom cupboard. I am sure for booking.com clients that was the room they are given. Breakfast was disappointing and not very impressive at all.
