Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaParking is an issue, and should be highlighted with clear directions to options available as many streets are oneway and once missed the circuit to return is somewhat cumbersome with weekend trsffic.
The internal refit of the building more than removed any initial concerns when we pulled up to the building! Great value and a nice location as we made our way back to Naples.

United KingdomIf you are looking for beaches this is not the place to stay, whilst it is on the sea front the beach here is very dirty/rubbish everywhere. Breakfast is provided by tokens for a place the other end of the promenade (we just went to other little bakery places much closer and used by the locals). If you are driving just be aware that the road gets very busy so can take a while to get to the parking garage round the corner.
The rooms are lovely, sea facing and plenty of room. Don’t be put off by the outside as you approach it - the interior is exactly as the photos show! We had complementary drinks provided in the mini bar and a cleaner comes every day! Great for watching sunsets from your room.

United KingdomThe room was spacious, clean and freshly renovated. The view was right on to the sea with no obstructions. The location is quite central and only 15 minute walk from the train station. The cleaner came every day and they even had a mini fridge with complimentary drinks in it including small prosecco. This was a comfortable stay for 3 friends. And our host was friendly and helpful.

AustraliaThe beach is not nice. Dirty, and not really a beach. Room smelt too strong of perfume from a defuser, but I just took it outside. It was really expensive.
Comfy bed, bath was good, shower was good, air con was good. Water views is nice. Central location.

United KingdomI also saw other reviews about not letting the outside of building discourage you, this is true, it did put the fear into us on approaching the property as it is probably typical of the area - an old apartment building with very worn fixtures and fittings. The lock to the front door needed a little wiggle to get in, but wasn’t too much trouble. We weren’t aware that breakfast would be what is was. Unless we’d missed something, but we couldn’t see it stated on the details that there aren’t breakfast facilities on the property. You received tokens for each night you’re staying to redeem at a cafe just down the road from the apartment. At first this was a little disappointing as we found a pastry and a coffee, got a little repetitive every day. As this was all the token would allow for. And are typically used to a continental breakfast. Despite this, it was enjoyable, but may have changed our choice of property for more of a hotel set up to receive a proper breakfast, had we have known before.
The room itself was lovely and modern (recently renovated a year or so ago). Everything was super clean in the room as well as the reception area. Everything really well presented. We also encountered one of the best sunsets we’ve seen, in this room. The balcony is in the perfect spot overlooking the sea. We appreciated the drinks and nibbles left in the fridge that we were able to have - if they are replaced - they are then chargeable after the first time. We weren’t familiar with the area and wanted to stick to a budget while we were away so purposely stayed a little further out from Sorrento, at first we didn’t realise how far, but we were delighted with our choice in the end. It was only about 20 mins on the train to Sorrento and found were very one of very few tourists in the area. We had some lovely dinners in the area and were frequently told by restaurant staff that we were a rarity as not many tourists stopped in the area. Even having what felt like our own private beach! Which going to Sorrento you won’t find. We struggled to even find a sunset that matched the one at our balcony! The staff at the cafe where breakfast is, were all lovely too.

United KingdomLocation, there wasnt alot to do in castellammare di stabia in general, which we didnt realise before we stayed, but we only stayed two nights as a stop off from amalfi before naples, so was nice to be in a modern apartment where we could just chill out go on a few walks and the balcony got the most amazing sunset where we could eat take away pizza on from a local pizza shop!
Building the apartment in was very run down, the lift to get up to where the apartments are was just scary! But the actual apartments were stunning very modern, clean and the bed was very comfy.

GermanyThe parking situation is OK, there's a free parking area in a distance of 1-1,5km. The B&B is not easy to find as it is located in a regular residents house, so just check on the street number. Finally, the breakfast place is an external café nearby (around 5 mins away from the building) and includes 1 croissant, 1 coffee, and 1 orange juice (allowance of 6€ max). Everything else must be paid extra.
The view from the rooms is amazing (just like in the pictures) and the rooms are cosy and very clean. Also, the location is max 30km away from all the sightseeing spots (Amalfi, Positano, Pompeji, Napoli, ferrys to Capri, etc.). The café for breakfast ("In Café") has a beautiful view, and the staff is great

United KingdomThe FronteMare rooms are in a large, converted apartment on the second floor of an old apartment block. The other apartments are still occupied by normal residents. There are no FronteMare staff onsite - a cleaner visits once a day and the main host meets you on arrival and is contactable by WhatsApp. The outside of the building is a bit of a mess and the street is busy - but there's little that FronteMare can do about that. The breakfast restaurant is a short walk away which is ok in good weather, not so good if it's raining!
Don't be put off by the outside of the building or the busy street. Inside the room is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The best thing of all is that all the rooms have balconies with magnificent sea views from which you can watch the sun setting over the Bay of Naples and Ischia. Stunning!

United KingdomThe beach was full of rubbish and hotel right next to waste outlet. On the first night there was a loud party at the nearby hotel and on the second people arrived into the neighbouring room after midnight and made a noise all night. (So sound-proofing was poor)

FranceEverything was great, we don’t have a simple complaint!
The staff were so friendly and excited for us to stay there! It was a beautiful room that overlooked the ocean. The main square was very close but the room was still very quiet. It is a hidden gem! The number 1 is only a 15 minute walk for day trips to Amalfi, Pompeii and positano. I do suggest taking the ferry to Amalfi to see the coast on your way. Also the cafe in for the free breakfast was very authentic and excited for us to be there from the new local hotel! Super cozy hotel and fun town!
