I know it was the holiday season but we arrived on Friday 27 December and left on Monday 30 December but could not get any laundry done during this time. For a five star hotel (using Booking,com's ranking) this was frustrating.

Unbeatable location so close to Piazza D'Erbe. Nice feel to our room and the breakfast room. Very helpful staff at front desk and at breakfast.

This is truly one of the loveliest and most charming boutique hotels we’ve come across in a long time. Every detail is thoughtfully decorated with exquisite style and taste, creating an atmosphere where you instantly feel at home. The staff are exceptionally kind and attentive, ensuring that every need is met in the best possible way. The winter garden is absolutely delightful, complete with a marvelous parrot named Romeo, adding to its unique charm. The breakfast room feels like stepping into a beautifully curated museum. We absolutely loved our stay here and cannot wait to return. It’s a gem we’ll treasure for years to come!

Staff were the best we have experienced. Polite, efficient and nothing was too much bother. They bent over backwards to offer advice, sort out problems and proactively with us during our 9 day stay. In fact they always went an extra mile with us, during our stay. The hotel was very centrally located and charming and eclectic with the furnishings and ornaments. If you are looking for a modern hotel, this is not the place for you. The building is apparently 14th/15th century and very quirky in the nicest sense. We will definitely go back and stay there in the future. It was fantastic.

to get there by car is hard because the hotel is located in a pedestrian area - so watch out for instructions from the hotel

the hotel is in the very city center and provides valet parking. we enjoyed an amazing breakfast and the building is full of history. of course, it is a little bit old and old style but perfect fit for Verona

The bathroom was very dated, could do with an upgrade. If they would, then I'd give the hotel a 10 score.

The photos on the site don't do justice to this fantastic hotel. The photos make it look a bit messy/crowded, but it was very cozy and clean. True 5-star service in the hotel, and excellent breakfast, and that right at the corner of the main market square of the city.

Less furniture in our room. It was so packed that we hardly had room to move. However they very kindly removed three chairs which gave more space. Very limited supply of toilettes and no body lotion supplied. If I had know I would have brought my own supplies.

Good breakfast. The staff knew what we wanted every day and fetched warm freshly baked croissants from the local bakery. Delicious freshly squeezed orange juice each morning.

Gabbia S'Oro was excellent. Super room. Great breakfast. Super friendly and helpful staff. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Finding the hotel is a challenge. Highly recommended.

I loved the attention to detail, the turn down service and the warm, courteous and friendly staff. The lounge was beautiful to relax in and the breakfast delicious. The location was unbelievable and as a female on my own I felt really safe.

Pretty much nothing to complain about. No lunch / dinner on offer but with so many restaurants / cafe's within a short walking distance I can understand why there's no need for it.

Excellent location, lovely atmosphere in the hotel, stunning decor, rooms very comfortable & the breakfast was superb. The staff were incredibly courteous. professional & very helpful. The room was serviced regularly. It's the little touches of class that makes a great hotel stand out from the crowd and the Gabbia D'Oro does that in spades. Overall we had a wonderful experience staying there.

I mentioned to front desk as lovely and special as it is to be offered many extra bathroom amenities, in age of climate change it can and should be cut back. They also changed our sheets daily for a two night stay snd again as lovely and thoughtful as it was we advised it is unnecessary.

Staff is extraordinarily friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Attentive to every need. Very hard working. Loved ambiance though in a few public places was a bit too much. Loved the special touches, and parrots Romeo and Juliet. If want to be right in center of everything, no better place! Proximity to numerous Michelin started restaurants and many sidewalk cafes.
