Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNot that we didn't like, but we didn't realise that this was a room in an apartment and not a hotel. On the positive side that means that there's a shared kitchen, which could be useful!
Great location in a neighbourhood we hadn't visited before. The couple managing the property was delightful and the place was immaculately clean.

United KingdomThe bathroom was not ensuite and this was not communicated. We have stayed in this area of Rome in the past. The tram no longer operates in the Flaminia area. Walk down Via Flaminia and get the no. 2 bus (Belle Arti).
The apartment is on the 9th floor. Assessed via a very small lift. A very nice room with a lovely balcony with far reaching views toward the city centre. However, the one shock which we had was that the room is NOT ensuite. We had our own bathroom (we were the only guests on the night of our stay) but it was across a common hallway. The bathroom was fine, but be aware of this fact and make sure you have a bathrobe or similar with you! There is a well equipped communal kitchen with a fridge/freezer and tea/coffee facilities. The bed was confortable and the hosts are very welcoming. Next door (ground floor) is a great restaurant (Casa del Gusto). The bus stops outside the apartment (Flaminia/Fracassini)

ItalyAll good for me
Excellent place for my overnight stay in Rome. Staff very accommodating and easy to contact (I arrived earlier than agreed, but they let me check in anyway), spotlessly clean and comfortable, amazing view from 9th floor (don't worry, there is a lift...) and a quiet room despite its location off a busy road. Very good trattoria on the ground floor, as well. I was here for a concert at the nearby Auditorium (10 mins walk), but it's very easy to reach Piazza del Popolo from here, too (on foot 20 mins or bus). I would happily stay here again.

MaltaI attended a concert at the auditorium parco della musica and I would say that Guest House Vignola was exceptionally near the location. A very quiet and nice area with good restaurants as well. Connected with public transport which will take around 15mins from city centre.

BulgariaEverything was great.
The hosts are very, very kind, the place is perfect. If we go to Rome again we'll book the same place. Extremely clean rooms, new comfortable furniture, coffee, tea and water included. Perfect bathroom and WiFi signal. A pleasant site at the 9th floor. Thank you, dear Paolo and Daniela!

GreeceThe only thing to note about the room is that it’s not very soundproof. Since there are shared spaces outside the room we could hear everything going on outside our door but it was empty/quiet most of the time.
The hosts were excellent and the room was sparkling clean. The room was also equipped with everything we needed for our stay and the bed is probably the most comfortable mattress/pillows I’ve ever slept on. The location is pretty convenient, the 201 bus will bring you right next to the house from near the Trevi fountain, take advantage of it instead of taxis that can get pretty pricey with traffic.

BelgiumVery Clean. The room, just like the apartment, was comfortable. Great location away from tourist craze, but very well connected with tram, bus and metro. Paolo was amazing and went out of his way to greet us outside or regular check-in hours, which we missed due to our flight being delayed.

CanadaA very clean and spacious room located in a large modern building on a main roadway. The property is right beside transit connections which was great getting around everywhere. My surprise was walking into St. Peter's Basilica and the Pope was giving a public mass. The highlight of my trip for sure. There is a small supermarket nearby where you can get groceries. They sometimes have music in the nearby park which I got to enjoy. The double windows which open to the lights and sounds of the city were fantastic. A nice place to return to one day.

ItalyThis is a minor issue that didn't stop me enjoying my stay at all and wouldn't stop me highly recommending the Guest House, but given the exceptional cleanliness of the bathroom and bedroom I was surprised to find yellow mould around the internal base of the shower tray and black mould in places in the corners. And it leaked a little.
The welcome by the host, our room, the facilities and location were all excellent. The cleanliness of the room and our en-suite bathroom was exceptional. It was great to be able to make a coffee in the apartment's kitchen whenever we wanted: there is a coffee machine with capsules supplied. The breakfast option described in the accommodation's details isn't available, but that wasn't a problem as there is a Carrefour supermarket one street down from which we bought what we wanted for the morning (and saved money doing so). We found a good priced restaurant just around the corner (Il Vignola) that was buzzing on a Tuesday night and in fact we only just manged to get a table, where I had the best pizza I have ever had. If you walk past earlier in the evening checking out dinner options and the waiter asks if you want to go inside and book a table for later, don't think he is being pushy as I did! He knew, we didn't, that the place gets booked out. We had a great stay.

HungaryEverything was great! The hosts were waiting for us and they managed to prepare our room despite our earlier arrival. They were super nice and kind. The place is clean and lovely, the bed was super comfy and the kitchen area is also spotless. We highly recommend staying here. The location is also excellent, Piazza del Popolo is a 20 min walk, but the tram stops front of the building.

BelgiumThe window and shutter do nothing to stop the noise, and there's a club or bar across the street that sometimes play loud music until late. It's a shared appartment so if the other customers have different sleeping habits, you'll hear everything.
Clean, modern and perfectly furnished accomodation. A walking distance from Flaminio metro station (there's also the tramway just nearby, but it didn't work while I was there). Balcony with a nice view.

SlovakiaAccomodation itself is literally a big flat. With doors without seals you are being part of every sound of people around. It’s like roommates living. Room is right beside the lobby which works as check-in office. Everytime anyone calls, you are there. Anyone leaves or comes? You are there. If you catch the noisy ill-mannered people (as we did) who smash everything they can get their hands on your rest turns into frustration. If I’d want flatsharing I’d go to Airbnb and choose flat share.
The good part! :-) First of all I am thankfull for hard mattress and memory foam pillow. Finaly after countless bad experiences with accomodations thinking "soft" means "luxury" we could comfortably sleep (until 5:40 someone starts cooking). Room is big enough to not feel oppressed. External blinds helps to limit sounds and light and together with clean AC can create a comfort. Bathroom is big and clean, probably reconstructed not so long time ago. Glad for the rib radiator in the wall (if it would be working). Owners are obviously very nice people and takes very detailing care about their ownership trying to provide all possible needs for their guests. Great effort you make. Venue is very nice and clean in a way you’d expect from 5* 👌🏻 Althought I did not expect the cleaning service of the owners. In flat and not hotel it felt to me a bit weird someone going into my things. But was easily and politely handled :-) Generaly speaking. If you will be lucky and share the space with fine people, it can be good place to stay. But if you are doubty and have more options, think twice about this risk.

GreeceOur room and bathroom were separated but it's not a big deal. I guess one of the rooms has own bathroom.
Very nice and helpful personnel. Extremely clean, tidy, useful and comfortable. Bed and pillows were very elegant. Common kitchen was clean and useful. Tram station was next to the building. If you have a car, there's a parking area 250 meters from the apartment. You get more for the money you spend.

It is next to tram no.2 that goes straight to center and to metro. Very good neighbourhood that helped us enjoy the local life, because the food, prices and attitude was waaaay better than in the tourist oriented City center. We do recommend this place! IndiaNot actually an issue but for my room private toilet was in the common area (clearly as advertised). Will take one with connected toilet next time. Other rooms have connected toilets. No breakfast but again not an issue as eateries and shopping is just downstairs. One can bring, keep and cook as well as fully functional kitchen is available to all. Coffee and Tea available and a fridge for your beer!
Very clean and lovely location away from hustle and bustle but very near the heart of the city. Well connected via tram and buses Restaurants and supermarket just below the guest house Clean room with grand view of the city from the 9th floor. Efficient and non intrusive service Met some nice music fans as well. Excellent location if you want to visit for concerts at the Auditorium Parco Dello Musica The TV selection better than most five stars for non Italians as Netflix is available for free and one can watch English programs unlike hotels that show only Italian shows etc. But I suggest going out rather than staying in.
