Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There were no options to get/buy water. There are also no shops around or restaurants which works after 20(maybe they closing even earlier). But for that price the hotel and location is perfect.
They provided with everything we asked. Really nice place and helpful stuff. Room is clean and also they are cleaning every 2 days

Some drunken people screamed all night. Couldn't sleep all night that's the only problem.

The property is not very far from the center, but the only way to get to a metro station is to take a bus. Busses are not reliable at all, you have to plan going out 20-30 minutes before your originally planned time
The room was clean and pretty big. The bathroom was a bit old, but clean and with all the necessary things. The stuff was very friendly and ready to answer all the questions

The queen bedroom is two single beds put together, they could end up moving apart from each other. The shower curtain is too short and the water spills all over the floor. The room feels very small, more like a single bedroom adapted to be a couple's.
It looked very clean and properly managed. We had no issues with our booking even if it was pretty late. I liked the showerhead water flow and temperature.

One of our rooms had problem with airco. It couldn't go under the 26 degrees. It can happen. Sometimes it's not something that can be fixed inmediatelly.
Nice rooms. Big enough and confortable.

The place in Rome doesn't offer much, rather to leave and get to the centre ;) Kitchen didn't have much equipment, not even cutlery and beds were not very good quality
Good rooms, seemed very clean and a problem with the bathroom toilet was repaired very quickly

When I was moved at the room in the ground floor i could hear all the conversations from the reception, this because there is any wall or noise ínsulation at the beginning of the rooms aisle. This is something that should be done as the receptionists they need to speak with the guests at any time.

There was literally no spoon and only one fork in the kitchen, so the only bad thing i think of is the equipment

Rome is quite an expensive area but im not sure if this was good value for money. People took some of our stuff out of the shared fridge (not the hotels fault). Thin walls aswell so it was quite noisy
Good location to get the bus to the metro. Close to a few shops. Clean and good bathroom

The location is sub par. It feels a bit dangerous and arriving at night made me nervous. It was completely safe within the hostel, but the bus to get there and the distance outside of the city center of Rome made it inconvenient to travel back and forth to the hostel.
I thought for the price, the room was clean and orderly when I arrived. Towels and soaps were included, which was necessary for a weekend traveller. The staff was friendly and efficient with check-in and check-out. It wasn't loud, and I had good privacy for a hostel.

The shower head holder was broken and the drainage was not great, more than 5min with running water and the sower area would start to flood. Besides that, the curtains to the shower area were badly placed, so that any water caught in the curtain would flow to the outside of the shower area, wetting the bathroom. The bed was quite hard and we did not have blankets, which were necessary for the night. The accoustic insulation of the door to the corridor is zero and we could hear every conversation at the front desk from our room in the first floor. It is far from the touristic center, 1 hour each way. The wifi was not very stable and we had to use our 4G to make videocalls.
The room was very clean and the staff was super nice. The place is very easy to reach with public transportation, one just gets a metro+bus combination. One amazing thing is that there is a kitchen for common use. There are also outside and inside areas with some tables and places to sit and play cards, eat or just spend time. We could choose between a double bed or two single beds and the space is pet friendly.

My stay at the hotel was not as enjoyable as I had hoped due to its considerable distance from the town. This made it inconvenient to access local attractions and amenities. My stay at the hotel was not very satisfactory because the room lacked essential amenities such as wardrobes and a mirror. This made my stay less comfortable and convenient.
The hotel crew were very polite and provided excellent service. They offered us an iron for our clothes and a hair dryer, which we appreciated greatly.

It is located outside the city. There are metro and bus services until 23:30, but we didn't feel comfortable coming back at night. I recommend it if you want to start your day early and return before 22:00. The beds could be better, I think
I liked that the price was fair and not expensive. The staff were really nice and helpful

As its good value for the money, there are a lot of workers that are staying there during the week and are a bit noisey but some ear buds will do the trick
