We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Czech RepublicThe hotel is situated in the area where there are suspicious people all around but that’s not the fault of the hotel. Not reccomended for female solo travelers while walking there.
The receptionist was really nice! The hotel is very close to train station Piazza Principe - about 4 min walk.

Czech RepublicWe stayed here for one night only, but it exceeded our expectations. After reading the reviews, we felt a little bit uncomfortable about the location and safety (travelling with two kids), but we realized it is rather about people´s assumptions than the reality. It was a great place with a genius loci of old port multicultural part of town, busy as ever with narrow streets, restaurants and loud people and of course crazy traffic. The only disadvantage was an expensive public underground parking across the street (on which we got some discount from the hotel - nevertheless staying there several days you would spend unreasonable amount of money on parking). Nevertheless, a very close to aquarium (500m maximum), nice options to eat out in surroundings, comfortable rooms with a view into narrow and busy alleys and mainly a very nice guy running the hotel! So we thank for the stay and we will definitely be back! :-)

United StatesNo air conditioning during a heat wave was miserable. No ventilation in bathroom meant hot and humid. With no air it meant open windows onto a busy noisy highway along the sea. And then a bug.
