Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe didn’t realize that the size of the hotel would mean lots of bus tours, which means lots of people and crowds at breakfast. The staff are not flexible about serving cheese plates or charcuterie in our room, or in the lounge, where we wanted to enjoy some local wine we had purchased (we are in the middle of Chianti region, after all). And what is it about Italy that the pillows are like slabs of wood? Of four pillows in our room, only one was half-decent, and no others were available. No shampoo/conditioner/body lotion in the rooms, which is odd for this level of hotel. We finally got some after the second request to the front desk…apparently it’s kept under lock and key there.
Location just off the highway was good as a base for travelling to nearby towns in different directions, and a lovely view of Montereggioni at night. Room size was adequate, if not huge. Breakfast was OK, although the very same every day for the 4 days we stayed. Bed was a good size, and comfortable. Lots of parking, and some rooms have a nice view of the pool area…although we faced a small lawn and trees.

IcelandWe arrived late so we wanted to do a quick dive in the pool before it closed, which we just managed but as we were sat on the deck the man closing the bar and pool was so eager to bring down the sunbrellas that he shut it on me as I was trying to get up with my infant in my arms. The hotel is placed kind of in the countyside so you have to drive to reach Monteriggioni. As we were hardly able to use the swimming pool as we arrived in the afternoon and it closed at 7pm, in hindsight I would have rather booked an accommodation inside Monteriggioni.
We only stayed here for one night, on our way through Monteriggioni, and everything was quite alright. Our room was not very big but fine and the hotel lounge is quite nice. The breakfast buffet was very decent.

United StatesTo get a pool towel was 5 Euros and you weren’t allowed to take your room towel to the pool. The rooms could use a makeover and it seemed a bit high priced.
The property had a big pool and plenty of parking and the staff were friendly.

NorwayThere are working hours for the pool, it's from 7 - 19. That was a bit disappointing as - once you are back from your day trip around, you can't take a swim in the evening just look at it. First evening when we arrived - the manager allowed to take a short and silent swim. But then - those were only mornings when we could use the pool as we came after 19. And you need to have your own towel for the pool or you can rent it for 5 euros. We were 3 persons in the room and 2 times - by arrival and after cleaning, we had towels for 2 persons. Of course, they were given, but every time you need to go and ask for those which was a bit annoying. Can hear the traffic.
Very beautiful inner yard with pool, comfy room with high ceilings, very good breakfast.

SwitzerlandGym was rather old and not all machines were working, however it was the first hotel in our vacation which even offered a gym, so cannot complain :)
Beautiful and charming hotel in an even more beautiful spot - very romantic indoor area with good facilities (pool, gym, ecc). Nice breakfast with a large choice. You can have dinner on place as well but there is the castle with many amazing restaurants only a few minutes far (by car)
