Very nice location right beside the highway but still quiet. The famous Monteriggioni is just 5 minutes away and has some nice restaurants for dinner. But also the restaurant in the Piccolo Castello was very good and the food very tasty.

It is advertised as a 4 star with elegant pictures. The facility is nice, but in need of TLC and definitely not 4 star. Rick hard bed, hair dryer didn’t work, low and no soap in shower dispensers. Paid extra for the spa and the hot tub was like warm at best. Breakfast was great and staff was nice. Willing to correct issues, but these are things that should be pro active not corrective at a 4 star hotel.

The fact that you had to to rent the pool towels, but I guess that is understandable. Otherwise, nothing negative.

The pool area was very nice. We did not use the spa, but did see it and it looked very good. I did use the fitness centre. It was properly equipped, but the only issue I had was that it was very hot and did not have any proper airflow. On the flip side, I was the only one in there!

Great location in the heart of Tuscany, ideally positioned to travel to beautiful points of interest. The food was excellent and the staff welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were extremely helpful and went over and above to make sure our stay was extremely pleasant.

My father has suffered a stroke and cannot use his right arm / hand and is not good on his legs but was able to access the swimming with some assistance.

What a fantastic place to be, the surroundings are amazing, the host is very kind and her cooking skills are out of this world! The swimming pool and the amazing views are making this place a little hidden paradise! Thanks for the great time we had there :)

We did not realize that the property sits isolated on a very busy road. We were walking on the via Francigena trail, and the walk to the Monteriggioni city center was on a very busy street with no shoulder. The hotel's restaurant opened only at 4 pm for snacks and then later at around 7 pm for dinner. We were really hungry from our walk, and so took a taxi to the castle, where there are plenty of restaurants. The drive is only a mile, but taxis come all the way from Siena, and it ends up costing 50 euros for a ride. The hotel advertises a swimming pool, and we were really looking forward to it after a tiring day, but the pool was closed.

The property itself was a nice one, all rooms on one floor. The rooms were good size and beds comfortable.

The beds were rock hard and walls were thin. Could hear people from other rooms talking and snoring at night.

We stopped here while walking the Via Francigena, and the cost per person was the 3rd highest of 20 stops; however, the Value was that of a 4-star hotel, hence justified.

Breakfast was fantastic. We slept wonderfully. We were walking the Via Francigena and their laundry service completed everything very quickly. The dinner was excellent. The Staff were fantastic. Despite the relatively high cost, this location ranked 4th overall of the 20 nights of the Via Francigena walk.

Kettle and tea or coffee in the room. The dinner menu - need more vegetarian options. Very limited in its selection. The place needs a lick of paint. In places looked very tired. Could do with a revamp.

Breakfast was lovely. The pool area was good. The staff - especially the staff who cleaned the rooms, exceptional and worked hard. My room was tidy and clean. A number of the reception staff were really helpful and conveyed information well.
