We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. GermanyA modern guest house for people, who like clean architectural designs. Modern rooms with enough space also with a child. The view above the lake from the room and terrace, especially on the breakfast terrace are amazing. A whirlpool in the garden makes it perfect after all excursions around the lake. The breakfast is curated on point and made with lots of love from the owners.

SwedenDO NOT VISIT WITH CHILDREN. The manager was rude throughout our stay. She was very upset when we checked in as we had our baby twins (10 months) with us but we hadn’t booked an extra bed for the “extra” baby (as we didn’t need one). She asked us several times not to use the stroller in the elevator, as she was afraid it would leave marks (it fit perfectly though so no idea why she was so rude about it). Our babies had to sit in their stroller when eating as no high chairs were provided. On our last day we had to leave early (8am) to leave for the airport and when asked if we could have breakfast before that (eg 7:30) we were informed that the breakfast opens at 8 and there was absolutely no flexibility in that time. We then asked if they could prepare something for us to take with us, as breakfast was included in our price. This was agreed to but the suggestion came from us. When we were packing up the room, before checking out, the manager insisted on INSPECTING the rooms before we left. YES - she actually was standing INSIDE our rooms while we were packing. We asked her why she was there and asked her to leave, but she insisted on being there to “check the rooms”. As she clinched to our key cards and we had to go twice to the car with our luggage, we had to snatch the key cards from her hand and said that she will have the keys when we had checked out and not before. 10 min later we were ready but then she was gone, reception was empty and so were our rooms. 10 min after we had left, she called and claimed we hadn’t paid our taxes to her but it we didn’t leave a bad review on booking, she could sort it out for us. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST TREATMENT AND THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL PERSON WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE.
