Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis is a beautiful old palazzo which has seen better days. We had a lovely room with a frescoed ceiling though modern bathroom addition changes its character. Aben on the desk was a fount of knowledge and so helpful. The restaurants recommended by thd hotel were excellent

Historical building, helpful and friendly staff (Artin), and very centrally located! Parking on-site was good. The outdoor terrace offered wonderful sunset views of Perugia.

United KingdomCar parking was a bit tight although it was great to be able to park so close to the hotel and centre.
The hotel is in a great location close to the historic centre. The building is stunning and must have been quite luxurious in its heyday. What makes the stay is the staff who are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We were arriving very late in the evening wanting something to eat. This was not a problem and a table was booked for us at a pizzeria (Capri - excellent pizza, can recommend) a short walk away.

United KingdomFor us it was perfect
Very helpful with late (Ryanair) scheduled arrival. Very convenient from bus station, especially useful for that late arrival. Location excellent for reaching old city. Breakfast simple but suited us. Lovely 19th century building, great charm, no lift though, so request ground floor room if needed. Very courteous and helpful reception.

AustraliaStaff were very helpful. One of the staff had spent 5 years in Australia... :) The room and bathroom facilities were very good. The location of the hotel was also quite convenient - it was at the start of one of the escalator facilities that take you up to the centro storico. It was also very close to Piazza Partigiani where we had to catch a bus very early the next morning.

United KingdomVery little. But don’t come here if you want a modern hotel. This is a beautiful C19 villa and former home of Richard Wagner whose character has been preserved.
Charming, quirky, my vaulted painted ceiling. Helpful and friendly staff. On site parking. Close to centre.

CroatiaIt was an old villa turned into a hotel, with chambers being turned into the rooms containing everything we needed for our stay. The staff were super friendly and helped with any questions. The terrace of the hotel was an amazing place for an afternoon coffee and relaxation. It is super close to the escalators taking us to the town centre. The whole setting and the park around it was really pretty.

United KingdomThe hotel is located just a short walk from the bus station, and a short walk from Perugia centre. The manager was very friendly and helpful and responded to emails in advance of our stay. We liked the character of this old hotel, and didn't mind that some fittings were not the most modern

United StatesThe entrance gate was easy to miss. I walked right past it twice. Had to ask some locals for help.
Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is nicely located right at the foot of the escalators up to the city center and just blocks from the bus station at piazza dei partigiani. Although the daytime temperature was in the 90’s, I was comfortable and able to sleep in my non air conditioned room with just a fan thanks to the thick walls of the old building.
