we booked a room with a balcony to take advantage of the glorious view but we did not get a balcony. In fact the room had no windows at all, more of a cave really. Pity

    Location stunning.

    Nothing.

We had a magnificent stay up the mountains in or d’echallonge. The bed and breakfast is located in an historical old mountain village where you can discover not only the beautiful alpine nature but also the local culture and history. The appartements are big, clean, comfortable and cosy. They are located in a beautifully restorated old house. You will find everything you need. What we appreciate the most is the kindness of the people working there. The owner, Pierre is amazingly helpful and kind, taking care of our broken car and making sure we have enough food for our stay. The girls taking care of the breakfast and rooms are equally sweet. We would recommand everyone to visit this magical village and enjoy the warm hospitality of or d’echallonge!!

The location and, even more, the fact that they offer only breakfast and you need to drive about 9 km to go to the closest shops (at 400 m of altitude while the place is at 1400 m …).

The rooms (very clean and comfortable) and the renovated houses (aesthetically very nice).

The location is amazing (Echallogne is a tiny village up in the mountains) - the property is recently renovated and is very comfortable. It's a paradise if you search for a weekend away in a quiet and chill place (the visited the place in August when most of Italy had abnormally high temperatures).

The room felt dark and damp (an ancient cellar?), because it was at the ground floor with another building in face of it, and with a single tiny window. I think this was room number 1. Too bad that with booking one cannot clearly see what kind of room one is getting. Probably most other rooms don't have this problem.

The location is great, in a charming little quiet mountain village.
