They ran out of alcohol haha! Which was a shame if you weren’t a part of the group who had been drinking all day but oh well. I think doing the whole pay later wasn’t the best idea with the amount of people there - especially as half of them probably didn’t remember what they ordered.

Staff were very friendly, great atmosphere! And absolutely stunning views.

Infested with bed bugs. I was covered in bed bug bites all over my back. So I’m guessing they were biting me in bed when I was asleep. Crazy itchy. I mentioned this to the staff when I checked out. They did not offer anything to apologise. We were having breakfast and the bill came to over €20. It would have been a nice gesture to offer it for free. It’s a big deal getting covered in bed bug bites from a hotel! It completely ruined my holiday as unfortunately I have struggled to sort out the issue. I’m still getting bitten days later even though I’ve washed all my clothing & showered like crazy. This hotel needs closed down and sterilised to get rid of this infestation. Do not use any of their blankets to keep yourself warm in the restaurant! They should really be getting rid of their infested uncomfortable mattresses. What a horrible experience!

I wouldn’t recommend booking a dormitory room here unless you’re okay with late-night noise and wobbling beds. I stayed for two nights and struggled to sleep at all. Plus, using the bathroom in the early morning was a challenge, as I felt terrible waking up those on the lower bunks. If you value your rest, consider a private room instead! We stayed in a dormitory room and forgot to bring our own locker locks, which was quite inconvenient. It made carrying our wallets around a hassle. I’d recommend bringing a lock if you plan to stay here to keep your belongings secure!

I would give this place five stars for the enjoyable stay, but I have to take one star off for the wobbling bunk beds. Investing in some solid wooden bunks would really improve the experience and ensure travellers get a good night's sleep. I've stayed in hostels in Sweden and Slovenia with outstanding beds, so I know it’s possible! Overall, I still really enjoyed my time here. Check out P&L Bike Rental! I took a bike along the red route, which offers flat terrain amidst beautiful rural Italian scenery. The ride was refreshing, and the views were stunning. It’s a perfect way to explore the countryside—highly recommended! This hostel was our first stop on our Italy trip. After visiting Milano, Varenna, Bellagio, Tirano, and Bergamo, I can confidently say it has the best Aperol and Corretto coffee! We also ordered a delicious buffalo pizza. If I return to Como, it would definitely be for those drinks and the delicious pizza! Highly recommend!

In the afternoon to find a parking place is impossible, we found in Domaso more far from the hostel a place after 40 minutes! There is the free beach where is the hostel so the local people are going there and leave their cars, not only the travellers. It would be better if the hostel has some parking place for the travellers who are sleeping there and not only the public parking area. In the evening after 21 when the people are going home from the beach you can find easy a place in front of the hostel. From 8-20 you need to pay 2€/hour and in the night is free. There isn't air-condition, only a ventilator which is a little bit noisy and in the summer you need to use it always, also the night if you want to sleep a little bit, otherwise the room is very hot. The private room with bathroom is on the ground floor, there isn't any view for the lake! The bed is very noisy, in the night if you turn a lot during sleeping you wake up for every movement with the noise.

The place is next to the free beach so you can reach the lake in 1 minute. The bar and restaurant is good with normal prices. The staff is very kind and helpful.

For me it was the worst stay I had so far anywhere and we travel a lot. Not sure if were just unlucky but there was a group of school children staying in the hostel, they were running, screaming, shouting and slamming the doors from 9PM until 1AM! I could not go to sleep for 4 hours! We were with a 2.5 year old who jumped every time the doors were slammed. I have asked 3 times if they can keep the noise down, and that they are other people staying in this place as well - all ignored. On a paper, it said that the quiet time starts at 23:00 so we waited, but nothing changed. It only got quiet at 1AM and I could finally close my eyes. It has not lasted long as from 7AM it all started again so I barley had any sleep. I have never experienced anything like this. I know kids will be kids but I would expect the guardians to keep an eye on them and I would definitely expect the owners of the Hostel to do something to ensure ALL of their guest are comfortable. This ruined my stay for the rest of the time we had there. I was too upset to even talk to them, my hubby ask if they can move us or ensure this won't happen again but was only told they don't have any other rooms and that there is someone else next to us for the night. The next night was a bit better with less shouting but plenty of slamming the doors but thankfully didn't last so long into the night. I would never understand why they would not put all the kids together and other guests more far away in different rooms but thats only shows that they were not really considering and we were also traveling with a 2,5 year old. Alternatively they should advertise or make it clear that you might not be able to sleep as they book school trips so you can make your decision if you would like to stay there or not as I would definitely not booked this place.

The cleaning lady barged in while we were in the room. I had just taken a shower and was dressing up. It was 10.10 am and she without even knocking just entered the room without knocking and I was barely dressed. Is there no sense of privacy at all? I was really offended. She didn't know any English and just walked away after she said something in Italian. Please have staff trained on basic manners.

The hostel doesn't include a kitchen, and that is a problem. If you go for 1 or 2 nights, the hostal is fine. One recommendation is to improve the refrigerator space. There is only one refrigerator and due to the number of people in the hostel it is not enough, we had to play tetris to leave our things in a space. Also, the air condition is really bad. It was a fan for six people, the nights were very hot, a fan is not enough.

The reception could have been better signposted as it’s at the back of the property closed to the lake and not really visible once you are by the lake as we didn’t realise it was in the restaurant. Other than that couldn’t really fault anything!

Such a stunning location and goes right out onto the lake. The town around also seemed really nice with a supermarket and restaurants. Our room was comfortable and clean with a nice big shower. The hostel also had a small kitchen area on the roof terrace with a kettle and microwave which was great! Good social spaces with a restaurant and roof terrace.

transportation from the trainstation in como is a bit cumbersome and can take 2 hours. one has to take a bus for about two hours. or a ferry. if you can take the ferry, I would reccomend that. or even better if you have a car :)

it was quiet and nice place on the other end of the lake. it is peaceful and very quiet area. opportunity to do water sports. many restaurants and some shops around. also a adequate and fairly priced restaurant in the hostel, with a view over the lake. very kind and hospitable people working there.

The room was relatively quiet. The view was great and we could open the big window doors in full. The staff and restaurants bar was nice. My boyfriend really enjoyed his multiple cappuccinos !

It is known that from the hostel you can not expect so much, but here was lack of elements that are basic for me, such as drapes of beds, individual lighting. And also there was no kitchen.

The bedroom was so not welcoming, far from confortable, the mattress was the tiniest there is, the bed wasn't even ready, we had to prepare it ourselves which I have never seen before... We were really disapointed :( I have been on really cool hostels before but definately this was not one.

We chose this place because of the location and the pictures of the bedrooms also looked nice, but don't let it fool you like me... The location is for sure beautiful due to the lake and the mountains but...

A foot rug in the bathroom is required, which was missing. Food is very average and could have been better in the restaurant at the hostel, given the food reputation Italy is known for. Food price is also a bit higher side compared to the quantity and quality.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Location is great with a very beautiful view, since the hotel is at the bed of the lake. Very nice walking path and good place to relax.

the wifi didn’t work for our entire stay. the kitchen facilities are extremely basic, it is just a microwave and a kettle - no sink, or cutlery. they also have rules for guests to cease music at 11pm but we were often kept up. the breakfast menu is also basic and expensive
