Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere's absolutely nothing not to like about this accommodation, from its finish to location. On a wider point, Trani doesn't really have a beach, just a few stoney areas and if you want a day relaxing in the sun you really need to go to one of the lidos. There's one about 15 mins walk from location but they're not cheap- Euro 40 per day for 2 sunbeds which is fine for a few days but if you intend to go longer the cost will be quite significant.
Everything!. Coming back after 2 years, Claudia was as welcoming and helpful as ever. Room and facilities are exactly as they are shown. Great bathroom and nothing better than breakfast on the balcony overlooking the piazza and harbour- except perhaps an evening glass of wine from the same place with the same view. Room cleaned every day. Some excellent restaurants (separate reviews) literally round the corner with fabulous food at value prices. It really must be the best place for a few days in beautiful Trani.

AustraliaThe room is on the small side but perfectly fine, especially for guests on a short break. But for us on a long trip with a lot of luggage we could have done with a bit more clear surface area.
Lovely room, very tastefully decorated and with a great view to harbour. Convenient to the station, beaches, waterfront and all major attractions. Host was very engaging and helpful, with excellent English. The vouchers for breakfast in an adjacent cafe worked very well, especially as they opened at 6 so we didn't miss out even with an early departure.

United StatesWe stayed in the Junior Suite with the balcony. The room is beautiful. It is so clean and comfortable. The balcony overlooks the Piazza and the beautiful port. Looking right from the balcony, past the beautiful park, there are also ocean views. On the weekend we were in Trani, there was a Festa, and we saw a concert and fireworks from our balcony. We had the best seats in the town! We enjoyed going to Bar Cavour for breakfast of a Cappuccino and a Cornetto. The bar staff was very welcoming of us American travellers that speak very little Italian, and we went back there each evening for drinks because we felt happy to be there. Miss Claudia is a kind and gracious hostess, and the staff that maintains the room each morning are first class. Our room was cleaned each morning as though we were just arriving. Miss Claudia also has the mini fridge filled with bottled water, fruit, juice and yogurt, and she had it refilled each morning when the room was serviced. We found Trani to be a beautiful town with spectacular views, and many, many fine places to eat. Grazie

United KingdomNothing. We felt as if we had found a hidden gem - both in terms of the B&B itself and Trani, as so few foreign tourists around, only Italians, but its a truly beautiful place to base yourself. Apparently Italians from Bari etc head there for the number of great quality restaurants and bars. From here we explored south down to Polignano and Monopoli, and north up to Monte Sant-Angelo, passing by the salt beds half way with loads of birdlife including flamingos!
Loved the location with such a stunning view from the window. Room had lots of extra little touches too. There's a fridge with complimentary bottle of still and sparkling water which you could use for your own purchases too. Very comfortable. Rooms are on the 4th floor hence the fantastic view, but the other plus point is there's a lift, which was very helpful given we had a week's worth of luggage with us! Claudia was lovely, and very helpful. We asked her advice on local restaurants and she suggested a couple of options which she then kindly booked for us - they were both great - Gallo (fish restaurant on the waterfront) and Manima (which faces away from the water but serves products from the region). Cafe Cavour behind the B&B is the location for your breakfast - Claudia leaves you tickets each day which you hand over to the cafe - they seem to entitle you to a hot drink and croissant/pastry of your choice (we struggled a bit with communication due to our lack of Italian and their lack of English but we got there and they greeted us warmly each morning!)

FranceRésultat de la traduction No safe. No bedside lamp and only one switch on one side of the bed to turn off the room, so very inconvenient. Android TV with disturbed images whatever the channel. Bulbs in bathroom mirror did not work. Breakfast to be taken at the local café. Fridge only gives a little cold.

United StatesWould be nice if the light didn’t shine strongly from the AC unit when turned on at night. Had to close the window due to noise and fun thunderstorms.
The breakfasts consists of coupon to get coffee and a croissant at a nice cafe around the corner. Italian style breakfast.. The location was lovely as the room looks out in the harbor but renters should be aware that the public square below is wonderfully buzzy in warm weather.. noise of people that n the streets including a Mike’s singer, and also, fireworks which went off randomly at midnight and also in the afternoon. At around 5 AM, noise resumes in normal city life, e.g garbage and moving chairs and such. If you’re a light sleeper, consider. The hostess Claudia could not be nicer. She waited for us beyond the timing because it was difficult to understand the parking kiosk. She was helpful in ever way.

United StatesRoom was comfortable but noisy. Constant noise from street - people shouting even thou the room is on the 4th level of the building as well as noisy neighbors and noisy toilet. Limited ability to make a drink, no milk provided for tea/coffee (small refrigerator in room).
Excellent location near waterfront and parking. Room and building were spotlessly cleaned. Comfortable bed. The breakfast voucher for a nearby cafe covers 5 Euro worth of expense this should be enough for a cappuccino, juice and a pastry - you can of course pay extra for additional items. Our hostess was very kind in waiting for us as were delayed due to traffic. The room was serviced/cleaned on each day of our stay.

United StatesNothing!
Claudia was lovely and hospitable. The building was charming and right on the piazza overlooking the bay. There was an elevator, which was helpful for luggage. The room had a beautiful view and was just as pictured. It was clean and comfortable with the best pillows in all of southern Italy! Claudia also gave us the best restaurant recommendation of the entire trip, Osteria Ai Platani. Definitely would return!

It’s only the size of a hotel room but the provision of snacks, tea & coffee making facilities, breakfast vouchers etc moved it up to a higher level of sophistication. Bathroom was excellent very high-end.
