Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The small fridge in the room was a little noisy at night
Excellent location for our short break, Elena couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived late but Elena gave us good clear instructions on how to enter the property .

There are minor things that could be improved in the rooms, but overall this was one of the best places I've stayed in my vacations.
The host was very helpful. Our stay felt very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect for me. Location was close to the metro and some good bus lines.

The location is fantastic, right next to the Cipro metro stop and just 6 metro stops from Termini train station. It’s much calmer than directly in the center while still being close to everything, especially St Peter’s Square and the Vatican Museum. it’s one of the best neighborhoods in Rome. The room was spacious and super clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with both sweet and savory choices so better than a simple continental.

No great negatives, just that the walls are really thin so sometimes you can hear other guests (eg. watching TV). But it did not affect our stay at all.
- Very clean and cosy apartment (cleaning and towels were done daily) - Location close to Vatican Museum with great metro and bus connections and restaurants/bars in the vicinity - Very helpful host Elena, who responded right away when we needed any help - Absolutely loved the breakfast! (coffee, juices, fresh croissants & other pastries, yoghurts, fruits etc.)

Nothing really.
Amazing property with an amazing atmosphere - you feel like at home. Everything was clean and tidy. Perfect location - just 2 minutes walk from Capri station and very close to the Vatican museum. Also very safe neighborhood. Amazing and tasty breakfast. The host is so nice and the contact is very good. I recommend this place with all my heart. I will definitely come here next time I visit Rome.

You can slightly hear other guests passing your room when they get home.
The breakfast and cute bedding! The accommodation was well located near the subway, an easy 5 minute walk. The breakfast and coffee were excellent and the room had enough space for 2 persons and a spacious Bathroom

Better NOT to take the breakfast from here which was not good at all. There is coffee shop very nearby where good breakfast could be obtained.

Amazing location, with lots of transport links nearby that can get you anywhere in Rome! The place was VERY clean and fragrant; a very nice welcome each time you enter. There were various options for breakfast inside the place with hot drinks included too in addition to a coupon that can be used at the local bar.

It was very cute and perfect for a weekend away for my partner and I! Elena was an amazing host who made sure to give recommendations to us on places to see in Rome! it was a super easy check in and check out! I loved waking up and being able to go into the kitchen and have breakfast!

Elena is a really friendly and open-hearted person and we felt very welcome in the residence. Breakfast was good, as was the cleanliness of the room. Due to her tips and kind nature we had a very pleasant stay in Rome.

Perfect stay.
Le Scalette is well located only metres away from the metro which is so handy for travelling to see all the sites of Rome. Plenty of shops just around the corner. . Elena is a lovely host ....anything you need just ask. Room is a good size clean and cosy. The breakfast room is a great addition....where you can start the day with breakfast or make a coffee on your return. All in all a lovely stay....totally enjoyed. Thank you.

The breakfast wasn’t all that great. No croissants or eggs in the apartment which would have been lovely.
The location was good, close to the Vatican. we used the Lime scooters to get around mostly but the metro was very close and handy to get to the coliseum. The room was clean. Elena was great, kept good communication and booked us a taxi to the airport.

Very nice and comfortable place, it has air conditioning which is greatly appreciated in summer, the room very nice, every detail makes your stay better, the spaces have what you need and they are also very well decorated, the breakfast is good, the treatment with the excellent staff, they help you in everything you need, also mention that the location is perfect, since you can walk to the Vatican, and you have te subway super near

The appartment is super cozy and nice. Light Italian music in the kitchen and delicious pastry for breakfast - the best. The metro station Capri is really near. I was 100% satisfied
