Lack of common space, downstairs there is a restaurant where people not connected with the hostel come. During my stay there were big family parties and a business meeting. After first night the cleaning staff accidentally took my clothes from my bed, cause they thought that I left the hostel. The girl at the reception helped me get my stuff back :)

Not negative but... critical remarks: The bathroom was okay-ish. Clean nevertheless, but the very small - for the size of the bathroom and my height - shower did not impress me. I have seen more spacious showers in hostel rooms smaller than that. At least the sink was large enough. At night there was not much going on (I think the hostel was modestly occupied) and I had a very pleasant sleep. But I think during summer there will be more of a buzz, especially if the very noisy unlocking of the door happens frequent. I was suggested I check the burger restaurant but to be fair I was there for some real Italian food and not that. Plus I am not certain if the listed prices of the restaurant are attractive enough to - let's be frank - students and people that don't want to spend that much in food. Instead I would suggest checking out the Focacceria Ligure in the city center (the guy there also speaks English) that makes imo the best focaccia I've ever tried in a very reasonable. The city is perfect for a short sightseeing and the views to the lake, the promenade and the mountains are very worth checking out, although I wouldn't suggest spending more than that touring the beautiful but rather small city.

It has if not the most modern hostel I've ever seen. The location, first, is alright. I didn't take the bus but instead walked all the time up and down the city (the hostel is on a hill). This was for me no issue as 15 minutes of uphill walking - even with a suitcase. In the hostel I was warmly greeted by Dora (sorry if I remember the name wrong) and got explained the whereabouts in English. There is a kitchen available in the ground floor with fridges available. Water is also provided free-of-charge. The breakfast, which was very good for a hostel and had honestly everything basic, is served at the restaurant. The service by the lady there is very friendly, despite the lack (I think) of English. A mark is also given for a drink at Billi's (the burger restaurant in the building). By the reception there is a nice (co)working space. I had booked a private room equipped with two bunk beds. The room was spacious, there were many storage options that could be individually locked but there could have been more sockets available (only one by each bed, but I couldn't find any other in the room except from the bathroom). Towels were provided. The temperature is regulated perfectly by a thermostat.

The beds are comfortable, the room was clean. The breakfast served in the morning was great. Good location, ten minutes on foot from the train station but there is also a bus station nearby. Great online check-in option that is saving a lot of time during on site check-in. Great service.

Clean, modern hostel. If considering private room then keep in mind it is hostel and privet room is room with bunk beds just for yourself. Overall good place to stay.

This place has almost everything you could wish for a hostel! The room was spacious and clean (I stayed in a 6 persons dorm) and they have showers and toilets. The lockable closets (bring your own lock) are very spacious and they have couple of shelves in them and place to hang clothes. The beds have little reading lights and electricity outlets. There is community kitchen, laundry room (4 euros for washing and 4 euros for dryer. Also free drying racks available). The community kitchen has two big fridges, stove, microwave and all the things you need for cooking but is missing freezer and oven. However it wasn't a problem. Just take it into consideration when thinking what to cook. The breakfast was good and the restaurant staff also prepares speciality coffees such as espressos or cappucinos if requested. The staff in the hostel was always very friendly and super helpful. I got tons of good recommendations from the reception staff no matter what I wanted to do. The location is good aswell. Maybe a bit far from the coty center (20-25 min walk) but there is also a bus that stops right in front of the hostel.

* Superb hostel, it is very big and clean. It looks like recently refurbished. * The staff (receptionists as well as the breakfast employee lady) have been very attentive, helpful and kind at any time. * Fantastic and spacious room, exactly as described on the ad. We also stand out the good mattresses, the silence and the cleanliness. We had a profound sleep. * The shared kitchen is a 5-star plus, it is well equipped (microwave, fridge, stove, basic cutlery...) and very convenient if you want to prepare some food on your own. * The atmosphere around the place is great / on the ground floor they share the space with a restaurant that has good vibes. * Super high value for money, considering the high accommodation prices in the Como lake area / very suitable place to be based to explore the area.

The room was stuffy and stale for a new building. They charged me 3 Euros to store my bicycle in a garage overnight. They wouldn' tlet me just lock it outside within the fenced area. The light by my bed was broken.

The facilties were new andvwell maintained. They had a nice kitchen to use.
