Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI recently stayed here for 2 nights and cannot rate it highly enough! I was surprised to hear this hostel hadn't been opened long as I would never be able to tell, there were no teething issues, everything ran smoothly like it had been open for a long time. I loved everything about this place, the location (walking distance to the train station and centre), how modern and well kept the place was, everything was immaculate and super clean, and the staff were the most friendly, helpful people I'd come across in a hostel on my travels around Italy, giving me recommendations for places to see whilst in Lecco to places to visit at my next stop in Milan which was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend staying here and I only wish I could have stayed longer! :)

GermanyIt’s a freshly build hostel with completely new facilities. It is very modern and has everything you would need in a hostel; clean bathroom, huge lockers, individual charging station right by your meed, breakfast is included, great wi-fi, … The list goes on and on. The staff was very welcoming and super nice, they gave me recommendations about what to see in Lecco and the whole of Lake Como. Also, the location is pretty good. It’s about 10-15 mins by foot to walk to the train station. From there on you can take a train to Varenna-Esino, a beautiful city. The train ride is only about 20 minutes long and from Varenna it is possible to take the ferry to other popular tourist destinations, such as Bellagio or Menaggio.

LithuaniaPaper-thin walls, the noise is awful, you can clearly hear your neighbors from the rooms around. Small shower cabin. The breakfast was very simple.

Thailand1. Very thin wall, we can not sleep all night. Noises are from next room ( you can hear the next room flush the toilet or shower. even open the tap water or walking, you can all hear) and from car from road outside 2. Low quality mattress, so loose mattress 3. Breakfast contains of low quality and nearly rotten products. 4. Temperature in room is from central heater. The adjustable monitor at wall is just fake. The room is too cold at night time. 5. New building with chemical odor from new paint 6. In the room. It has a lot of small dust in the room ( whitish dust, probably from construction) 7. When you close the door, you have to know to close correctly and super hard closing to make it tight enough because with normal closing, The door can be opened by hard pushing at the door from outside
Not recommend to anyone. Cheap but can not sleep all night( Is it worthy?)

AustraliaThe wifi doesn't work in the room, the lockers don't actually lock, the woman at the reception was short tempered and unwelcoming, the kitchen was badly stocked. While the place is well maintained cleaning wise, the air is stuffy with windex, making it uncomfortable to sit in the common area, which is very unsocial. It is a good place for people wanting to rest or work remotely but doesn't have hostel vibes.
The entire place is meticulously clean and there is work stations for those wanting to work Beds are comfortable and the cleaning and bar staff are all very sweet. Breakfast was nice although there was a strange sign that many didn't notice and states hidden charges if you take too many items. There are buses that frequently go into town

Chinano air conditioner in the room, the whole time more than 28 grade. It is warm, especially in August. For sleeping it’s also quite loud.
The restaurant downstairs is good, they are making delicious burgers. Also the public area is quite cozy.

United StatesSold out all rooms to big groups on Saturday night. Still frustrating that there are women only rooms, which is basically just getting a private room any time it's a week day. And not an option for the gentlemen.

New ZealandNo Aircon in the rooms. I think they're working on this as it's a new hostel. The showers were a tad on the smaller side. It would have given this hostel a higher rating if they had Aircon and a kitchen to cook your own food in.
Staff were amazing. They helped me so much with everything I needed (making phone calls to pharmacies on the weekend) + more. Thank you Sara! The rooms are clean, the bed and pillow comfy and breakfast in the morning was nice.

BelgiumThe not-so-good: - Extremely poor sound-proofing. All fittings in the rooms (doors, drawers, lockers) make very loud noises (even turning on the faucet sounds like a Geyser just activated). Sound proofing between rooms and towards the hallway is very poor as well. If you're unlucky enough to have neighbours which come back to their room late at night after a night of partying (which is what happened to us), you are guaranteed not to get any sleep. - There's no A/C in the rooms. The windows open but onto a very loud and busy street. - Price: much more expensive than any other hostel I've ever stayed We paid €180 and barely got two hours sleep due to the very hot room and noisy environment. I wanted to give this place good score but for us it was a frustrating night and not a good experience. We will not return.
The good; - Very clean modern hostel with very friendly and efficient staff and good atmosphere - Decent beds, big rooms - On-site parking is possible at a reasonable price (€5 per night) - Decent breakfast - Price: much cheaper than other options near Lake Como

SpainIit is noticeable that facitilies need some maintenace in pipes and installation of aire conditioning. Also it is need to improve or implement a systematic management to detect failures and improve service. (I had problems twice to accomodate in my booked bed and had to chage of room).
The facilities are relative new, although that won't last forever (mainenance needs in shower and wc pipes). Personal are helpful and friendly.

ItalyIn this season there are many mosquitoes in the hostel and the manager didn’t install any net on windows to stop entering them. Also there isn’t any facilities for washing your cloth in hostel, so you have go out of hostel for that. And another thing, there isn’t any facilities for making food there. They have only a microwave with some small plates!! Jut these!!
Modern building with nice bar and nice yard.

United KingdomThe hostel feels very compound/clinical with zero atmosphere (even playing elevator type music in the bar common area a lot of the time) the 'jail bars' shaped fence and wooden slats that surround the building don't help it's aesthetic. The small amount of interaction I had with the staff was civil but not friendly. There are zero facilities to cook (unless you class one small microwave a plate and knife and fork) The rooms are big but there is only one bathroom including toilet with the smallest shower I've ever been in ( I'm 5'11 and 10 stone; even I struggled to move around) so there is always a que waiting. The beds are quite firm and the one pillow was very thin and gave insufficient support.
With the hostel being recently renovated it feels very clean and fresh, easy to find 10/15 Min walk from station uphill. The six bed dorm room was spacious with large lockers. The bunk beds are very sturdy so no movement when getting in and out and disturbing anyone sleeping. I had an adequate stay but facilities are lacking, hopefully improves once the restaurant bar opens properly!
