Exceeded expectations - good rooms, perfect location, exceptional terrace! Just on remark - not easy to find it. Would be helpful if number of the house would be attached near to the entrance. And name of your place should be more vivid. For the rest - everything was perfect.

The size of the room starts to matter if you have a lot of luggage, and no seating or table was provided. All the same I would have given the room full marks but there was a significant leak from the shower base which seeped through the wall into the corridor, and then re-entered the room under the door. Fortunately this was noticed in time to avoid contents of luggage lying just inside the room from getting wet. This is a significant health and safety risk that needs to be fixed.

great location and view of the sassi, small but very well presented room, insect screens on windows, a small fridge. As we travelled in non-peak, the price of the room was at a more acceptable rate.

A few tiny tweaks could improve the room: shelf space in the shower, but nearly perfect.

This place has the most incredible balcony. Right in the heart of the Sassi, we observed beautiful sunset and sunrise, and watched the people come and go. Magical!

I loved my stay at Lo splendour dei Sassi, I stayed for two nights and the hosts explained everything very well with clear instructions and good recommendations for restaurants and sights to see. My room had a great view and the coffee was an added bonus.

We absolutely loved our stay in Matera. We had the room with the perfect terrace to admire the beauty of Matera in the morning, during the day or during the evening. It was not necessary to go anywhere else in order to have a good panorama – we had it from our terrace. We felt lucky to book this place and we hope to come back – we will certainly want to book the same. Federica and Pasquale exceeded our expectations in terms of support – they provided valuable information regarding Matera and the parking options, helped us with our luggage from the parking and we had very lovely and effective interactions during our stay. Thank you, both for being such great hosts! We recommend the room with the terrace at ‘Lo Spendore dei Sassi’, it is great!

Very clean and very well equipped room, fantastic central location, terrace is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset and sunrise on Matera. The host was super helpful, super kind and very very fast to respond to messages and questions. We will return for sure!!!

Dead center location. 30sec walk from the Main Street with restaurants and all. But the dead center location made the terrace best places to do 360 photo. It’s clean and good choice of design furnitures. Bed is comfortable.

The terrace / balcony was beautiful. Host, Federica, was so friendly and picked me up from the bus stop. She also gave a free bottle of red wine for my birthday :) she gave good recommendations on where to visit and eat. She’s so friendly and helpful. Grazie Federica!
