Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

It's off season so not many other guests to interact with, but that's probably entirely different in summer!
Lobby Collective is a no-nonsense hostel about 30 minutes walking from Lecce's historic center. There's a good supermarket across the road where you can buy anything for your meals prepped in the shared kitchen and enjoyed in their sunny garden. Staff is friendly, rooms are comfy enough, and shared spaces are clean and useful. There's an easy self check-in system if you arrive after 8pm. Bonus: They warmly welcome cyclists like myself!

There was an issue with the balcony doors when it was raining. Water always found a way to get in, and it flooded the room each time.

Air conditioning only works at night (8:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.); however, with high daytime temperatures, air conditioning during the day would be useful.
Typical Italian breakfast. The room and bathrooms were kept clean throughout my stay. The staff was very polite and open (when I arrived at night, I met a receptionist on the street who took me to the hotel, even though she had already finished work, and helped me collect the card). The location is outside the center, but there is a bus stop right next to the hostel, from which you can get to the center.

Nothing at all.
The hostel is very clean, spaces are colorfull and everything seems to be new. Also the bedrooms have AC and the bathroom is great.

Bit far from town
One of the best hostels I’ve been to! Clean and comfortable facilities, great kitchen, everything is organized and well thought out without being obnoxious. The hostel is super social, staff is wonderful, special shoutout to Antonio for community dinners and karaoke nights, it’s been an unforgettable experience!

It has a social environment for those who want it, and a quiet environment for those who don't. It is half an hour away from the center, but access to needed services is easy. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The employees were friendly and helpful. Generally it has a good ambiance.

The showers are a bit small and the location is a bit out of the centre that requires you to walk 20mins or catch a bus

In my case autoamted check-in, I was able to do it but key was not loaded to the machine, which could have been the problem as I came just before midnight
Awesome place in great location. It has ton of facilities and nice vibe to meet up people and spend time there. Apart from that it's clean and well organised. Despite some error for automated check-in staff was there to support me. Also nice breakfast that you can grab there before starting your day.

I do not fancy additional city tax of nearly 10% of the ticket price to be honest. Also, it is a bit of a walking distance from central areas, which is still fine.
The hostel itself was quite good looking and comfortable with an excellen hang-out area. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was large enough and the bed was great. The facilities were satisfactory and the terrace was nicely accessible and peaceful.

The place is newly renovated, everything was clean the room are spacious, beds are comfortable with clean sheets, bathrooms are clean, the staff are very friendly, the place was very quite, you have big terraces for chilling or to have your drink, just 20 minutes walking from the station and the historic centre, I would recommend it for everyone
