Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceThe room temperature was constantly high(maybe high enough to sleep at night) so you were feeling comfortable and warm. The manager was also very kind and sociable. The price was also cheap. Highly recommended for the cold days in Italy

United StatesI adapted, but it’s unusual for a living space not to have one window. A bit like living in a cave. Lots of steps for a compact space. Upon arrival, there were no lights left on and without windows, the space was pitch black. Had to use my iPhone flashlight to find light switches. Learned later that there were switches in the entryway, but it was too dark to see them. Property manager really should leave a few lights on so guests don’t fall down the steps in the dark entryway. It would also help to include information about entryway light switches in the check-in instructions.
Location. In the heart of Siena, steps away from Piazza Il Campo and the Duomo complex. Very clean, secure, nicely furnished historic building . Someone put a lot of thought into making productive use of every inch of space.

United StatesUnfortunately, no windows, unless you open the front door to the street, which we did a couple of evenings. There were only four espresso pods, we would have liked 8 for our four night stay.
So close to the middle of everything. Very comfortable and quiet place for two. Nice little bar on the corner for caffe and pastries in the morning, about 10 meters from our door.

AustraliaThe instructions for the air conditioner were challenging, but it may been just me, and the fact we could only use appliance at a time ie: kettle or oven etc at a time, but small price to pay for such a nice unit.
Great location near the Doumo and Plaza de Campo with lots of restaurants and places to visit. We used it as a base for Tuscany for 6 nights and if was perfect. Being self contained meant we could buy local produce and cook a couple of meals which was great, highly recommend.

CyprusThere was not enough soap for the bathroom, it was enough for one person for one day. It did not have hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen.
It was spacious, had all the facilities that was needed. The location was perfect in a quiet road but at the same time in the city center.

Great apartment in a great location. After we got done touring Duomo museum it exits just a few doors down from the apartment. Lots of good food nearby and close to main plaza. The apartment had a cool layout with separate bedroom up and down.

LuxembourgThere was only 1 toilet paper roll for 2 people for 2 nights, I know there was a bidet but not all people use this.
The location is to die for. We literally stayed next to the Duomo. You cannot get much better than that. The place was also very cute and newly refurbished. The aircon was great considering the heat.

United KingdomThe electricity is a bit quirky, in that you can’t have too many gadgets on at once or it blows. The bed was super firm. The taxi couldn’t take us to the door as he couldn’t get down the street past the pavement cafes, the apartment door opens straight out into the street , there is no immediate parking. Siena is very hilly, and it took us 45 minutes to walk the 2km to the station ( don’t attempt to walk to the property , it’s all uphill!!). The TV channels need to cater for international visitors.
The proximity to the Duomo and central part of Siena. It was just around the corner and very convenient. The apartment is ideal for a couple or small family , but there is no privacy to either of the bedroom areas. The washing machine and tumble drier were a welcome facility , there is also an airing rack. There are no windows to the property but two effective air conditioning units . The kitchen is small but compact with gas hob, electric stove, sink , drying cupboard, kettle, coffee maker, fridge freezer. Crockery, cutlery pans and kitchen utensils to prepare meals at home.
