Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location is excellent, near everything but far from the noise. Beautiful building, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from. Breakfast was really good. We really enjoyed our staying and recommend it.

Noise - while outside noise was cancelled by closing the glass window, creaking sound from the rooms above were disturbing. You could hear every movement in the room above ours.
Location - walking to all important landmarks. Staff - very courteous and helpful Breakfast - good. Since the cooling by AC wasn’t allowed (by the law), they gave us a pedestal fan for ventilation.

Elevator was tiny, but that's the way it should have been, giving the grounds authenticity. It was quite functional. I wouldn't subtract from my ratings. I'd still give it a smilie face. Don't let that deter you!!

The 2 bed suite was superb. The 16th century styling was amazing. Walking distance from major attractions is a big plus. The kitchen staff helped with takeaway breakfast on the day of our day tour.

Beautiful hotel located in a quiet area of Florence but steps away from the centre. Clean, modern and contemporary hotel but with its Italian touches. Staff went above and beyond . I enjoyed my stay very much and would return if ever visiting Florence again!

The sofas in our suite were a bit uncomfortable and yet so stylish.
We LOVE this hotel. The staff was attentive and courteous. The details were well thought out and historically very interesting. We loved the coffee maker, welcome bottle of wine and the little snacks. The towels and linens were soft. The location was excellent. (One day we had the windows open and could hear a woman singing opera as well as a piano lesson taking place in the neighborhood. We felt so blessed to be a part of that moment. )

Air con was not very good or not working but luckily it wasn’t too hot outside as it was early spring time.

The only possible improvement I can think of is to have spotlights by your bed, so that you can angle these to read at night without disturbing your partner!

The room was spacious and very comfortable with everything we needed. Water pressure in the shower excellent. Everything spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb! Great location, very quiet at night. We asked for a quiet room and we were given one at the end of a corridor upstairs, thank you so much.

This is a historic hotel close to the duomo. The hotel is beautiful. The staff was very helpful. If you are driving, they have a valet service and they register your car with ztl zone.

Breakfast was okay but I guess I'd expect food of better quality and more experimentation in the kitchen. Also there were vegan cakes but no vegan savory options. Luckily I'm only vegeterian so I could have eggs. TV in the room was not connected to the internet, for some reason that service is blocked, so you can only get aerial. Also would appreciate tips for local restaurants or trips - altough we have not asked.
Superb location, walking distance of 10-20 min to all the main bits, Duomo 5 min away. Staff was lovely and communicative. Cleaner was on point! Charming place with great authentic vibe.
