Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe loved everything about this hotel.
There was a lot of choice for breakfast with lovely fresh fruit and a selection of pastries, continental meats and cheeses, cereals, yoghurts and very good coffee. Waiting staff were extremely attentive and friendly as were the bar and reception staff. On our arrival, our room was ready, although we were early and our bags were carried upstairs for us. The room itself was large and cool which was very welcome due to the heat outside. The bathroom was long and narrow but fine and the shower was good. The convenient location between the Duomo and the Mercato Centrale is ideal.

United KingdomThe location was fabulous, in a lovely square and very central. The staff were charming and very helpful. The building is very old and gave a taste of Florence’s golden age. Our bed was extremely comfortable, the coffee was excellent and the breakfast was lovely. I intend to return to Florence and I would stay there again.

United StatesI do not have any complaints.
Gorgeous hotel!! Stunning building and a spacious luxurious room. I love the liveliness of the square it is in and the gret walkability of the location. The hotel really made our trip to Florence feel luxurious. Great service from the hotel who brought us ice and towels regularly. The room was very clean and the daily turn over was fabulous.

SwitzerlandMost front desk and restaurant staff were great, one or two were sulky, passive aggressive types. My room was absurdly small, especially for the price.

If you’re looking for a modern hotel with mod-cons, look elsewhere. If you’re happy to step into history for a fabulous experience then this hotel is a perfect fit. Courteous, helpful staff, and a wonderful breakfast too.

United StatesThe stairs could be a bit problematic for those guests with issues. There is an elevator but some of the rooms still require steps.
The historic nature of the hotel was what caused me to book this hotel. I loved the fact that it was so steeped in history. It was convenient to so many places that we were able to walk rather than take a taxi. The breakfast was quite good offering hot dishes as well as everything else. The staff were wonderful—from the front desk to the valet and housekeeper.

Lovely staff, room, breakfast and location. They welcomed us with Prosecco since it was our honeymoon and were very friendly when we asked for a certain room when we did our reservation. Will definitely come back!

United KingdomThe room and entire property certainly exceeded our expectations. We picked the property based on it's ~10 minute proximity to the major sights but were pleasantly surprised to turn right on the piazza and find the Duomo at the end of the street. The aesthetic of the property is classic and traditional with modern touches in the rooms that work beautifully. We were in one of the upper rooms - one down from the attics I think - and had gorgeous high ceilings and massive windows. The staff were welcoming and kind, but unobtrusive. It's hard to tell what to expect with older, more traditional style properties but Loggiato dei Serviti is exactly as appears in the photos and feels more luxurious and welcoming than expected.

United KingdomWould have been helpful to have been told that we should drive into centre of Florence and they would look after the permit for that.
Brilliant central location not far from the Duomo. Very attractive room with a separate frescoed bathroom and view across piazza. Helpful staff and car parked efficiently for us.

United StatesAs an older building, the plumbing and the floors can be a bit creaky. Adds to the charm, really, but worth bringing ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.
The breakfasts were excellent! And the rooms were clean, well appointed, and quite lovely. We really enjoyed our stay, and would happily stay again.

United StatesNo issues.
Great location, helpful staff, loved the older historic quality of the hotel, and great breakfast!! We had been there before, and so returned for our 3rd time. Because it is an older building where certian accomodations must be made to preserve the historic aspects, one has to realize that the elevator is small and bathroom may not be large, but all up to high standards regardless.

United StatesStaff, location excellent for walking city center. Breakfast was great , and rooms were spacious and comfortable, with shower not over a tub available as we had requested. The hotel is in an old building that has high ceilings with the large beams, so the facilities are arranged to preserve all these historic features. Thus, it is like staying in an old castle of sorts, with added modern wifi and other expected facilities. We had stayed here before and so we were pleased to be there again. We also liked their two small lobbies where could sit and relax and chat quietly with our friends.

The room was clean & spacious, decorated nicely with high ceilings, great location really close to the Duomo & Galleria dell’Academia, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely - pastries, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, eggs.. we enjoyed our stay
