Rooms were cleaned daily, but I would't say it was clean after cleanning. Due to central location it may be noisy at night, but closing windows and shutters signifficantly reduces noise. One of the main minuses for me is lack of kettle available for the guests and no small fridge in the room.

Hotel Lorena is located in the city center, 300 m from Santa Maria Novella. Staff is very friendly and proffesional. Hotel needs a general renovation and probably for this reason it's one of the cheapest hotels in Florence.

its an old hotel and many facilities are old, the hair dryer was from another century, some parts of the room were dusty. also when I was booking it said that room had a private bathroom, however it had only a private place for washing hands, the bathroom was shared in the floor

Walls have no sound proofing that you can hear what the other guest in the adjacent room is doing. Then the 22 steps is a struggle if you have big luggages. Why the hell are we leaving the keys?

Rated this hotel wrongly earlier which was intended for another hotel. It just a decent hotel providing value for money. Great location!

Our windows faced a busy street, tourist traffic until late night and delivery traffic early in morning.

Next to the Medici Chapel, close to train station and not far from Duomo. They allowed us to leave our luggage early. This is an older hotel, though adequate for our one night stay before leaving in the am.

Some people might be affected by the noise of revellers outside. BUT the room had windows with modern double glazing and then another older window as well and then a shutter for the light. So in the end, the noise (even on a Friday night) didn't stop me from sleeping, although I am a light sleeper. And the complete blinds mean the sun doesn't blaze in at dawn. All in all, this could almost be in the "what did you like" part.

A nice friendly welcome and great service even though I was a guest only for a single night. Location is great. I think normally this place is booked out for ages in advance and I got a room because of a cancellation or a little gap between other customers. My point is that I think they could raise prices and make more money in the short term but as an ongoing concern they prefer to keep prices very reasonable and rely on people coming back time and again. Just an impression, but I felt this wasn't an establishment testing what the market will bear but a family business planning to be around for a long time. and I liked that very much in a city where the tourist population is naturally very high and supply of accommodation is limited.

If you didn’t close the outside shutters, the 2 sets of inside windows and the inside shutters it was very noisy no matter the day or night. Also the bed was extra hard as was the pillow.

It is in a great location. Very central to the historic district and close to the train station. The room was huge and had a great view of the plaza.

I don’t like that they did not advertise that they would close reception from 2 am until 6 am. So there is no possibility for you as a guest to arrive between that hour space.

It is really in a good location. It’s old, so all the rooms and facilities looks old. But it was ok The staff is good, they were opened to received me earlier and storage my luggage before my check in.
