Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUnfortunately, internet connection is not very good and WiFi is only available around the reception area and I believe the pool area. In the room we stayed in, there was some constant noise (sounding like an old washing machine which is spinning at times). It was constant for the three nights we stayed and as a light sleeper, I just could not sleep at all. So if you are like me, don't forget the earplugs! We also have been bitten to death by mosquitos as soon as we stepped outside. We could not enjoy the nice terrace at all, so do not forget your mosquito spray! Breakfast was rather disappointing for a 4-star hotel/resort. On our last day, we didn't even get oranges for orange juice. The bread was very try and we were only in luck for mini multi-grain croissants to eat with the ham and cheese on one day.
The hotel/resort is very nice with swimming pool and the famous black beach. Valentina at reception is such a lovely and helpful person, a great asset to the hotel. The free shuttle from the port to the hotel is very convenient when arriving and leaving with luggage. And walking to the port, restaurants etc. is only a few minutes from the hotel. Also, when one likes to trek up the crater, the hotel is in a good location to do so. The room is lovely decorated with a terrace and a big bathroom.

NetherlandsThe shower we couldn’t move , not informing us ahead of our stay that the kitchen was close snd that we have to pay 20 euro per day for the dog.
Its a very nice resort very quite very beautiful they clean the rooms everyday ,, unfortunately it was end of season so the kitchen was closed , we were still able to have very good breakfast,, the shower was just alright as you cant move it,, all in all the staying was comfortable and clean. Only one thing that only after we spent two nights in it they send me an email to say that they will charge 20 euro per night for our dog even though the dog is small and very clean and we never get any extra service for her from the hotel.

United Arab EmiratesWe arrived at 11 am in the morning and requested an early check in upon availability. We were told none of the rooms were ready but during our 4 hour wait until 3pm dozens of people checked in and got their keys while we had to wait until 3pm. Not really professional. In addition to that, our friends booked the room at the same time as us on the hotel’s website and they paid exactly half of what we paid, which is not supposed to happen.

FinlandThere were quite a bit of ants in the room and corridors towards the rooms. Food allergies were not accommodated at breakfast even if requested well beforehand so be aware if you have allergies that there might not be much to eat. The floors in the room were very dirty and needed to wear slippers at all times when in the room. There was no shower gel in the shower.
Mari del Sud resort was very nice and peaceful. Perfect for couples and families with kids. Very low-key vibe with barely any foreign tourists (mostly just Italians). Valentina from reception was beyond perfect 11/10 service and super helpful with everything! Overall the staff at the resort were very welcoming and helpful. There was a shuttle to and from the port to the hotel but it will cost 2,50€ per person one way.

GermanyOne receptionist said that we need to wait until the schedule hour for check in. Then we saw other guests checking in earlier and I offered to pay extra if this was required. She was plainly rude and still allowed other guest to check in earlier and made us wait on the reception because the room was not ready. She made some disrespectful comments in Italian, that she thought I couldn't understand. When we get to the room, the room had some dust and it hadnt been opened for weeks as I could smell it was not properly aired. So basically, we were asked to wait on the reception as part of her power trip. Wifi does not work the rooms. Only can be used in the reception.
Location is good by the beach. Some of the staff were very nice (Argentinean girl in breakfast room & African Italian girl in the reception, people in swimming pool) but to be honest some people on the reception were one of the worst I have seen in my life. Happy to be contacted by the hotel management to provide further details on this. Breakfast was amazing though but please bear in mind this is not a quiet place but a place for people with families.

Czech RepublicThe restaurant was quite disappointing and completely ruined our mood. We had half-board and we have never been informed that no drinks (juices/lemonade/something simple) were included into the price of the dinner, neither we got a drink list with the prices. Be prepared to leave no less than 80 eur. for drinks in the end of your stay. The choice of meals was very limited (ca. 3 appetisers, 3 types of pasta, 3 types of fish + a couple of extra meals)(it was very delicious though) and once we were not informed that the meal was no longer available and received a small tail of fish, while the neighbouring table had nice big fillets. Also once we had completely stale, like a stone, inedible bread. The same with desserts - be prepared that there will be no ice cream (only the lemon sorbet which was not always available), cannelloni and tiramisu (also not always available). Breakfasts in the restaurant are significantly better, many good fresh pastry, coffee, but no veggies. Another thing is, that the restaurant is completely not created for the bad weather. During the storm, the waves get to the tables, wind blows everything away and it is not possible to say indoors (only for 1 table), also many mosquitoes.
Mari del Sud Resort is located right on the sea coast. The apartment itself is very nice and clean. It was cleaned every day, including towels. The place itself was quiet, no loud noises at night. Resort has many separate apartments, a swimming pool, a green area and a nice view.

ItalyThe all building was a bit tired. It looks like they need to do a refresh The bed was a double made up with twin mattress and they did not have anything to put them together properly not a mattress cover or anything like that so we had the worst sleepless night. In eth morning the sun entered the room very early at 6 as there is not proper shutters or blinds or curtains
The location and the staff were great staff very attentive and super helpful
