Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Very nice location, all the basic you need for a short stay. But pretty noisy because of the thin doors and walls of other guests don’t care about others unfortunately. Would suggest sleeping earplugs, if you are a light sleeper.

The fact that they didn't let you know there was wi-fi at the gate so you could connect and get in when you had no other internet connection.

The only thing I didn’t like is there is nobody to ask in the information. And in the evening you can hear the noises from the other guests.
Convenient - very close to transportation to everywhere. Very clean.

The process of checking in to the Guest House is not great. If you don't have Italian sim-card, then its impossible to go through street gates. Wi-Fi is available only at the entrance to the guest house

Cleanliness and quality of the mattress

It was quite cold, especially in the bathroom. The cold air coming from the windows even when they were closed. Property collected more in taxes than was provided on Booking when we booked the room.
Cleaning and change of the towels provided every day. There was a fridge in the room, a little table and chairs. There were extra blankets to cover with so it was okay to sleep even if it the room was cold. There was an option to boil the water.

Lots of cameras in the reception area.
Great location, very accessible, especially if you already know the city. The room was very clean. The online check-in procedure was easy, and the establishment made sure to send various messages about it. Sadly, when I sent them a message to ask something there was no reply.

You don't get a key. Entrance to building is entirely through an app. You'll.need to have roaming and a charged phone.

The location is perfect for a short stay, located on the second floor of an appartment building. Easy entry via the online app, which worked perfectly for us. Every day very good cleaning of our room was very nice.

Of the minuses, only that the room was smaller than in the photo, but this is not critical. The water pressure in the shower was low. The walls are thin, and sometimes you can hear the neighbors, but we quickly fell asleep.
We liked the location, 25 minutes walk to the Milan Cathedral. The room was clean, shampoo, soap and towels were changed every day. In the common corridor there is a cooler with water, very convenient.The area itself is calm and quiet. I recommend it for accommodation.

I think the room could use some more facilities, like a small kettle, some cups or a very small fridge possibly.
The system with Vikey that the property is using actually works very well, I was a little skeptic about it at first. I think the property makes a very good option for a quiet, cozy, short stay in Milan.

Complicated uncomfortable system of the door openings. Especially the gate to the house from the street takes an age or two to open.

Quite room. Easy to find. The directions was okay.. Walking distance from the main town it was far for me. Good thing there were buses and trains. You should have a charge mobile all the time because the keys was online. So you would must also have data on your phone . Wifi some times gave me a hard time. One towel in the room. And don't be afraid if you found only on pouch of shampoo in your room . The ladies that watch the cleanliness of the room will add some the next day. Very friendly. The shower water was warm enough.
