Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA comfortable chair would have been nice, but the room wouldn’t accommodate one. Manageable for one night, not okay for a longer stay. Street map provided covered such a large area that road names were unreadably small for us older guests - better ones are available. We got lost in the dark twisting streets when trying to find The Pantheon!
Brilliant central location for the most historic parts of Rome. The receptionist could not have been more friendly or helpful, she definitely scored 11/10. Room was spotlessly clean and quiet.

GreeceTHE STAIRS WERE VERY VERY TIRING. THE APARTMENT WAS AT THE 4th FLOOR AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO RETURN TO YOUR ROOM AFTER SHOPPING WITH BAGS...
IT WAS JUST IN THE CENTER OF EVERYTHING. WE WENT TO ALL DESTINATIONS BY WALKING.

AustraliaThe stairs. This was only a minor inconvenience only due to the fact that I’d hurt my knee the week before, so it proved a little difficult to navigate. The rest of my family had no problem with them.
The location was fabulous. Literally just around the corner from the Pantheon, surrounded by restaurants with a wonderful atmosphere. Staying in what was once a monastery held a charm of its own.

United KingdomWe booked a room for four adults - the double bed was great and a good size, but the single bed with pop out bed under wasn't really suitable for adults. One of the slats popped out and when we lifted the mattress, two had been stuck together with sellotape from previous breaks, so obviously others had the same issue. The person using the bed is only 5ft and less than 8 stone, so not exactly big.
Location is fantastic. Really central. Breakfast was also fine - basic, but enough to start the day.

BrazilThe Wi-Fi signal was a bit unstable. So we could not stream videos wirh good quality in the room and make some Internet transactions as buying tickets.
Definitely the location is perfect. 5min from Pantheon, 20min from Coliseum, 30min from Termini station. The breakfast also surprised me, the croissants were delicious. And was really kind of the staff to serve pandoro and panetone on Christmas Eve. Also, the self check worked well. The staff provided a nice video with good instructions.

MaltaThe four stories of stairs were quite difficult to go up with an elder. Especially since some areas had no railings. The beds could be slightly comfier but were still comfortable. The breakfast was good but could also be improved slightly.
The accommodation is extremely central and offers great value for money. The staff were friendly and the room was adequate.

PortugalThe street where the entry for the hotel is located can be quite creepy, it is pretty dark and we had bad luck with a guy showing his genital organs to us when we arrived right at the door. We were informed about the police stations being very close and the location is amazing because it's close to the pantheon, but we were only women and that made us afraid of leaving and arriving late at the hotel, mainly because the same guy was seeing around more than once. Yes, there are weird people everywhere and that is not the hotel's fault, but it still was an unpleasant experience. Also the breakfast is far from being good if you are expecting Italian coffee, the croissant felt reheated and burned, the coffee was a capsule machine coffee. It's nice to have, but I would rather have the option to not pay for the breakfast and pay cheaper for the stay.
Very clean, the location of the hotel is amazing. The staff was nice.
