Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Simona is the best! She is very kind, she take care of everything when we asked her. Room was very large, very clean. Neighborhood is safe , there are restaurants and markets nearby. With the help of owner Simone we felt like we are at home.

Lovely clean room, situated in a quiet very nice, safe neighbourhood. Very easily accessible by both metro and bus. Extraordinary host, very helpful and friendly.

My stay at the Mulan Suite was very convenient, especially due to its easy access by metro from Milano Centrale. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and provided with everything we needed. Simona was very helpful, giving us useful information about the city and recommending great places to visit. The rooms were exactly as shown in the pictures and were kept clean throughout our stay. I particularly appreciated the secure and simple technology for accessing the room, making both check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend this place!

We had a pleasant experience with this location. We got the Lisbon room and everything was excellent: attention to detail, the way the room it was arranged, the big and comfortable bathroom. In the room we had tea and coffee and something sweet. The location is close to the metro in a quiet area and it was easy to reach all the tourist spots. The host was always in contact with us and gave us all the details that we needed. We will definitely come back here with pleasure.

The place is extremely clean, comfortable, and the staff is very kind. The room is very close to the train station, so it is very easy to reach the city center. I highly recommend the place! Next time I go to Milano, I will be there. I loved the room

Everything ran smoothly, and the host was very responsive and helpful. We really appreciated the coffee machine in the room. The room was big, new, clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more.

The way to get in all technology. the door handle was hard to turn, take a bit of strength, and some use to. But it was very minor details . Roberto patiently explained to me how to do it, and after that, we were ok
The place was very clean. Was very easy to get to the city centre with metro 5 minutes walk. Simona and Roberto are the perfect host. They took time to help us to understand how to get in and gave advice where to go to eat.

Getting into the accommodation required the internet and was a bit fiddly but Simona met me in person to demonstrate it.
Very friendly hostess Simona who supplied maps and a pocket guide to Milan and also recommended local eateries. The place was beautifully furnished and was a short walk to the Metro.

Some drawers would be a nice addition. The walls are very thin. Easy to hear the neighbours through the walls. The lock app and door lick are unintuitive.
The hostess was fantastic. The place is very modern and clean.

The accommodation is super nice. It has three apartments and a common space. Everything new, impeccable, of very good quality, clean and with good taste in decoration, signs of dedication and care. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay and more. Bright, well ventilated, with a very spacious bathroom. We are very grateful to Simona for everything she has provided, she is always attentive to every need or query we ask her.

We had to pay the city fees by cash leaving the money on the desk when leaving. Normally I don't use cash, only cards, so I had to withdraw money just because of this. Normally I paid by booking. Very bad situation.
Self checking is a must and the flat is well renovated. The position is close to the metro station in a safe area.
