Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAs a young female, I probably would have been a little nervous walking home alone from the train station if I had to do so.
This was a great place to just have somewhere to sleep at night. The room and bathroom was spacious and the A/C was really nice. In addition, the room got cleaned during the day which was a bonus.

ItalyThe neighbourhood around the hostel did not feel the safest for us in the night (as three girls travelling by ourselves). But we made sure to return before dark.
The staff was very nice and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The room was good value for the amount paid. The train station was within a few minutes from us, and there’s a 10 minute direct train into Venice.

United StatesNo complaints.
Host was welcoming and accommodating, even directed us to an open bar for a snack after our late arrival on a Sunday night. Location is great for easy access to Venice, Mestre train station is about a 10 minute walk to the underground tunnel for access from the Marghera side. Basic and comfortable Venice-adjacent accommodation.

CroatiaThe room is a bit small, but for the price it's not bad. The shared kitchen/common area has basic utensils, a fridge and a microwave, but there's nowhere to wash the utensils or a nice place to make a sandwich or something like that. It was a bit annoying that they turned off the AC (we visited during a colder season) and opened the window every day when they cleaned the room, which meant that in the evening we got back to a room that was a bit chilly.
There is free parking at the location, and the location is excellent. It's close to both the bus stop to Venice and the train station, as well as to two sizable supermarkets. The host was polite and helpful. The room was adequate for our needs and it had a small private bathroom. The room is clean.

Taiwan1. We're informed that late check-in after 23:00, 10 euros will be charged upon arrival. However, it's written 24-hour front desk service 2. We're asked to send passport photos through WhatsApp. I was a bit concerned about personal data security issue. 3. Standard Twin Room with Shared Bathroom : In the description, it's mentioned also a private bathroom boasting a hairdryer inside. It's quite confusing 4. Poor soundproofing in the room

IrelandBelvedere is small and beautiful hotel, with clean and comfortable room. The bedlinen was clean and fresh. The bed comfy enough. Special thanks to staff for spotless shower. The staff at the Belvedere were very polite and friendly. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. The check-in and check-out were very easy. There are two food shops within walking distance. We used public transport to get Venice. The bus stop was close as well(5-7min). It was even better than I expected from hotel of this price range. Recommend

United KingdomThere were no towels and very late arrival made it impossible to sort this out.
Reasonably close to station though via a long underpass which could worry some at night. Good communication, especially when flight delayed. Clean, basic.

PolandWC is small, but was OK to fit 1 person :)
Exceptionally clean room and wc, air conditioner included. It was pretty quiet during our stay. Great location (4 minutes to walk to bus stop). Private parking just in 50 meters with enough space, that is closed at night (but accesible for guests). In fact, there are public parking slots just at the entrance, all available, probably due quiet street, and we were at high season weekend. Very friendly and helping staff!

GermanyA second smaller towel could be added in the room and a hair drier in the shower area.
Everything! Very close proximity to the train station Mestre, bus stops to Venice and the supermarkets. Beautifully decorated reception area. Very clean common toilets/showers. Very helpful the “private” sink in the room, plus the air-conditioning.

Location is great just a short walk from Mestre station. Everything is immaculately clean, it's nice and quiet, the hosts are very friendly and there is aircon in the rooms which is great. There is use of an outdoor terrace and indoor common space with a fridge, kettle, microwave and a small amount of crockery/cutlery. Supermarket just round the corner and an amazing takeaway pizza just down the road (I'll Pizzaiolo Magico).

It's just how it looks like. Great location, fair price, kind staff and very clean rooms and shared bathroom. Even though great location it's surprisingly quite neighbourhood. And it's really close to Aldi if you want to do some cheap shopping. I highly recommend this hotel.

United KingdomThe host (lady) was awkward. We dared to ask if the city tax was already included in the amount we paid through booking.com and asked for the receipt for the cash payment she requested. All her answers were snappy after that - we found this unpleasant and unprofessional. Our food was taken from the fridge although we had labelled it clearly as requested. Hotel staff claimed they hadn't binned it, so it must have been smb else. How desperate must someone be to steal random leftovers from the common room fridge. There was a kettle in the common room but no sink.
Clean. Host (male) was kind and friendly. Excellent location for visiting Venice. Train station walking distance. Supermarket walking distance. Free parking for car in the yard. Family room was large. We used shared toilet and shower - they were always vacant.

PolandThis is a hostel, so you have to take into account the nature of this facility. The location as a base for exploring historic Venice is excellent. close to the station and bus stops. The facility is so clean you could eat off the floor. Rooms cleaned daily. nice terrace, air conditioning. The price-quality ratio is perfect. I highly recommend.
