Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Mosquito Repellent Insect Killer Tablets (Pads) are provided in the room, that’s good. Instructions for use should also be explaned at the reception desk. At night I woke up from a suffocating smell. The last guests who entered the room (I was already sleeping), closed all the windows and turned on 6 of these devices with anti-Mosquito Pads. For 25 square meters, 6 working devices is a lot. And such devices turn on when the windows are open; all windows cannot be completely closed. Either do not provide 6 devices per 25 square meters room, or instruct guests.
• Convenient location and clean bed linen • The first thing you want when you arrive at a hotel after a long journey is just cool drinking water. Thanks for thinking about this! • Quite a large area

Two negative sides: - In the room unfortunately I was hearing the foot steps of the next rooms. In the night it was really scary. The footsteps sound very close, as if there is someone in the room The noise was suddenly interrupting my sleep, was waking me up. - Air-conditioning is a must. The top floor where the bed is located, was getting too hot, law of physics ; warm air rises!

It was very worn down, needed some renovation. The blind in the Window didn't go down all the way and as the weather was really hot, so was the room as the little fans you have in the room can only do some moving of the hot air around.
Location is nice in Cannareggio, a bit less crowded than some other parts in Venice old town. If you only need a place to sleep and don't mind the hotness of the room in summer, then it's a good place.

Google is slightly off on the location, the kitchen was mostly useless beyond the refrigerator and microwave, and the whole place felt a bit run down (it has amazing potential, but felt like it hasn't been renovated since the 1980s).
Great history, good value, beautiful courtyard, mostly quiet, and friendly staff. Despite the noted drawbacks,, I'd stay here again.

There was only one shower for what seemed like a lot of rooms, which meant you were almost always waiting for the shower.

The place was quiet and has free water and even coffee, tea and juice! The bathroom was always clean and more than enough for the occupants to use. They had a nice garden area.

Not so close to the main attractions (San Marco), it is quite expensive to not include breakfast only free water and juice.
The place is very well taken care of, relatively close to the train station.

Only thing that I could say was there’s no curtains, so very light until very late and light very early, and also one pillow. Other than that I had a good stay

I was a bit cold in Venice at that time, and the room was cold during some of the day. The heat didn't come on.
The location is awesome. Within walking distance from the train station, and in a very nice neighborhood.

People snored, unfortunately I didn't take earplugs 😭 other than that, a little bit of mold over the shower.
Beautifully located place, in the ruins of old church. Great garden and nice, helpful stuff.

The bunk beds were very unstable, impossible not to wake up your neighbor.

Located fairly far from train station, bridges and narrow streets, a struggle especially if you have luggage but it's Venice so expected. Room shared among 7 people so I won't suggest staying more than one night. Public spaces were nice and clean.

Facility was located in an island which is being used only by hostel. Room was wide and comfortable. Bathroom was inside room and Bathroom was enough and clean. There was no breakfast but kitchen was always ready for our needs.

The room was dusty and dark. There wasn't any good lighting in it.
The yard, the greenery that is missing in most of Venezia you are nof missing it here. The room was spacious. The common area was well prepared with coffee and everything you need to make yourself some food.
