The bunk beds felt a bit unstable when climbing up to the top bed.

The hostel buildings were beautiful and the garden a lovely place to hang out. It was also really peaceful there even though the hostel was nearby the main street. The staff was very nice.

Bit old and things are out of date. Walls are all cracked and will leave white residue on your bags if you leave it on there. Not a big deal for me but just an FYI. Also I was on a bunk bed and the bed seems so rickety and flimsy. Any movement from me or the person below me, the whole bunk just wobbles.

Location is in a nice area which is quiet. 10min walk from station. Outdoor area is nice that has seats under the trees and also a mini football field (but never saw anyone use it). Nice outdoor grassy area if you want to chill there. Staff are great as well

I’m my room there where 2 showers. One was broken and the other had no floor border so when you shower the water gets everywhere.

The room was very hot, there was a ceiling fan that started making a lot of noise in the middle of the night so I had to turn it off. Only one shower for 3 or 4 rooms. No towels.

The staff at the front desk was nice and welcoming. It is a calm place next to the canal, very nice garden and green areas to relax. Not that far from the center. There was a sink and mirror inside the room.

Great location, just off the main busy area but lovely and quiet. Not far from the train station. Lovely and clean with friendly staff. Used the kitchen fridge to cool drinks for the next day and store food.

I wish the rooms had mosquito nets/ window screens so that you could leave the window open at night without fearing to get eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Ostello Santa Fosca is like the perfect little island in the middle of busy Venice. We are so happy that we canceled our hotel reservation and booked the hostel instead. The hostel is located right on a canal, one block away from the main shopping street and one block away from a very cute, more quiet canal with lots of restaurants, gelaterias, etc. It has multiple beautiful courtyards where you find shade, peace and quiet at all times of the day. Great to enjoy breakfast (2 grocery stores and bakeries are less than 5 min away), relax mid-day, or sip a glass of wine before bed. You can use the kitchen if you want to (clean up after yourself!) and store some items in the shared fridges. There is a kettle , espresso maker, plates, cups, etc. We had 2 rooms: one 2-bed room without bathroom and a 3-bed room with bath. The 2-bed room was very simple and felt a bit dungy, but was very clean. The other room was cute, maisonette-style with a beautiful high ceiling with old wooden beams. This one seemed newly renovated. It was very hot and humid during our stay, and the rooms have no A/C. There are fans though, so it wasn't too bad. We would stay at the hostel again in a blink and absolutely recommend this place. Staff is very friendly and you can leave your luggage/ use the courtyards after checking out.

The room was cleaned poorly, the floors were dirty, even some glass elements from the floor were lying around, so it was not possible to walk around without shoes. There were spider webs on the walls, as well as glue from stickers on the walls and closets, not very cozy.

The location was great, close to centre. Property had beautiful and spacious gardens. AC was working well.

They don’t put on any activities to get people talking to each other. Hostel is very big and people are spread out so I wouldn’t recommend for solo travellers trying to meet people. They also completely shut down the bathrooms for 4hrs a day to clean.

Beds were kinda tilted towards the head spot and the shared bathroom was always a little dirty but it was tolerable.

It got very hot and the beds are upstairs from the rest of the room and it was very hot. We could not really open the windows because it did not have a screen for the mosquitos.

The people working there are very nice, a lot of space in the yard and public spaces, very clean, a lot of storage in the rooms, easy to reach them.

The room was very hot at night even with a fan, however we were there in peak summer. You have to pay for use of a towel and I was surprised by the lack of privacy in the bathrooms when showering.

The location and size of the room was great. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen and reception area were easy to find and use. I appreciated the advice on local restaurants to try. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

No towels nor soap. You had to buy disposable towels which were just ok. During the summer the rooms are really hot and humid, no air conditioning and not the best airflow.

Great location hidden back a street from all the heavy people traffic. Nice patio, grass, and tree area to relax in.

Located away from the main tourist flows, so it is quiet, but the main street with shops and restaurants is easily reachable by 2 min walk. The hostel has a nice green yard to sit and relax, also a patio for having meals. Coffee, tee, pasta provided (one should cook him/herself). Also, cooler with drinking water at the reception. Excellent, would stay again.
