Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The apartment was new but there was a lot of dust.

We didn't like the fact that the code wasn't working properly and also that the parking was outside not with a lock up garage .

We paid 110€, its way too expensive for what you’ve got, would be ok if it was 80€. It’s dark. We arrived in a big empty house, sleeping in a attic. Creaky staircase. The garden doesn’t look quite like the picture at that moment because of construction next to the pool and dead leaves. We saw no one but we have been waking up few times by staircase noise and a baby crying.
Easy check in and good restaurants advices by message. Room was clean and the girl doing the breakfast was kind. View of Etna from the garden. Very good restaurant at 2 min driving (corto sicilia)

no lift.lights go off on its own after 15mins i did not find this practical.bin in room is way too small.bins are only found outside near main door.rooms are not cleaned everyday
pool area is very nice with awesome views. the small kids area is ideal if travelling with children

there was no kettle in the apartment. we finished off buying 1 ourselves. there was a problem with the sink drain. used to get blocked very easily. the apartments needs to be maintained properly as there was part of the kitchen plinth that fell off. there was the laminate flooring patched up with tape and worst thing of all the main door to the apartment was transparent glass! everyone could see if we were in or not!

We preferred to have been informed beforehand that area near pool was being renovated as we weren't able to relax outside like we planned to and at times there was noise due to the works. Our room was next to a stairs and beneath another stairs, so it was very noisy. Unfortunately guests are not always respectful of others, so we were woken up whenever someone was using either stairs. If these issues are resolved, property would be amazing.
The house has a beautiful garden with pool and tree house for kids. Parking is convenient near property. Good variety at breakfast. Very clean. Staff very nice. Convenient supermarket within walking distance for those who need it.

On our 1st day we went to the supermarket to buy food for all 5 of us as we planned to spend the evenings in because we had a 5 year old with us. The next morning we saw that all food was ruined as fridge was not cooling at all. After it was checked they informed us that it had to be replaced and will be done on our departure. We ended up having to eat out every day, apart from having to throw away everything. This was our major issue, other things were small things but altogether made us feel very disappointed. We could have booked hotel rooms more central instead of an apartment if we couldn't use the kitchen
The place was clean and served a good breakfast.

Expected larger room as per pictures shown, given the fact we are a family of four for a longer stay.
Location is central and easy accessible by own car with good parking, venue is beautiful with excellent outdoor area. Staff is gentle and professional. Breakfast is fresh and abundant.
