Some pasta dishes, but then I am a big Beef eater. The Tax these peaple pay for the fish and restaurants can make eat in food pricey. Fish can cost inland prices but is landed only 100 yards away.

Sitting outside with a coffee in the morning watching the world go to work! Also the staff always happy to help. The village peaple did not leave you thinking they just wanted your money they had time for you. The pizza bar over the road made the best pizzas going and food was fantastic.

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Krataiis. Rooms were large and nicely appointed, with well equipped and spacious bathrooms. The hotel was clean, spotless and nicely appointed. We stayed in Rm 102 and Rm 201. Both offered a room with a front view, with Rm 201 having a more superior view being a floor higher. Breakfast met our needs, with a variety of offerings and fruit Staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful. The location was fantastic as it was a 2 minute walk to the wide and spacious beach. Traveling in October, the beach was very quiet with warm and calm waters. Another nice touch were beach towels provided by the hotel. Although Chinelea was our first choice, we were surprised at how busy and noisy it was during the day, so we were happy to walk 15 minutes to visit that pleasant area, but nice to return to our beach area. We were all very pleased with our stay and GRAZIE MILLE to everyone at Palazzo Krataiis ! !

Could have done with more breakfast options - it was just scrambled eggs (or boiled eggs if you could figure out how to use it) in the hot section. What about some tomatoes or mushrooms or peppers or onions.

The location is spectacular - literally walk out of the hotel cross the road and you are on the beach at the castle end so also right next to the archway road to take you to Chianalea. Also the lift up to the piazza at the top is literally next to the hotel. We paid for balcony and sea view - room was huge. Breakfast ok. Also beach towels available which was fab.

Lovely spacious room partially overlooking the beach. We spent 3 fabulous days in Scilla exploring. Good breakfast with delicious fresh pastries with availability to have fresh orange juice, eggs scrambled or boiled. Constantino... who worked on reception and made our morning expresso coffee, and generally assisted us, was exceptional.

The restaurant in the hotel was closed on Monday and most of the restaurants in Scilla were closed on Monday and Tuesday. We found a nice Pizza restaurant, the Calypso which was open on Monday and was very nice.

The location over the road from the sea with restaurants and bars within very easy reach and the old part easy to walk to with more restaurants. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was good. The manager was helpful and carried our cases up the 3 flights of winding stairs. I felt a lot fitter when we left after climbing those twice a day. The area we had on the top floor was roomy, we had a large room with a separate bathroom, another small room connected by a corridor. We had a small balcony with table and chairs which was good to sit out on. The hotel had all the facilities we needed. The car parking was on the sea front which cost 10 Euros per day from 8.00 a.m until 11.59 pm, then free until 8.00 a.m.

There were not all toiletries that I was expecting and had to go buy my own (conditioner, body cream, toothbrush/toothpaste). The tub/shower should have a curtain in order to make sure no water splashes in the floor…was uncomfortable to shower because concerned that water would spill on the floor. Some hours during the day there was a very bad odor in the room …not sure if there’s a drainage issue.

Loved the location of the property and that breakfast was included.
