Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdomroom needs a lot of updating: lamp at wall- just bulb internet was so slow we didn’t use it in a small room 4 chairs but no mirror . Only mirror in bathroom above sink didn’t like duvet. I used bed sheet only toilet seat was not fixed 🤭 it was moving to one side when u using it to switch off bathroom lights was challenging- we could do that only removing electronic key from switch what means all phones not charging during night
excellent location- close to main tourist attractions very polite staff

AustraliaThere was a lot of noise and the wifi only really worked in the bathroom. It was great for only a couple of nights!! Enjoyed it.
It was a great / safe location and super easy to get to after water taxi! Staff were nice and easy to work with. Room felt clean and was a pretty good bed.

GreeceSmall room, although not unpleasant, maybe it's just "budget" for "overpriced" Venice.
Friendly staff. Central location, albeit in an alley. Cheaper than a lot of other central hotels but would have paid a little more for something better preferably with breakfast.

RomaniaThe walls of the rooms are very thin, the mattress is quite old and some beds cover should be sent to cleaning. The shower head needs to be replaced, the sink faucets and the sink are old! The price per night in high season is justified only by the fact that it is central!
Frabrizio very kind and prompt! Kudos to him! The rooms are clean, but no matter how much you clean some accessories must be taken out of use!

best location, so central. bed was comfortable and it was very clean. some comments about the property say it’s tired and falling apart but it’s just old but still nice. added to the overall historical feeling of Venice . we would stay here again.

United StatesThe Room is tiny, VERY TINY. the bed is very uncomfortable at all, the AC didn’t work. the shower is absolutely a very bad experience. most of the time there was no one in the reception for help or information. I usually don’t write bad reviews but I’m really sorry, it was a bad experience.

United KingdomThe Breakfast offered was a walk to a nearby cafe with rates of 12 to 18 euros each. ( i knew it wasnt included but they did not say it wouldnt be in the hotel ) !!! We found a lovely cafe with Coffee and croissant for 3.5 euros each less than 2 minutes away. The Fridge didnt work. The safe didnt work. The room was tiny.

United KingdomIt was an emergency booking to replace an Air BnB failed accommodation for our stay in Venice. Was a good alternative, very central, and close to pretty much everything you needed. The room was a bit small, the bed occupying most of it with little walking space around but since we were there for only a couple of nights it was all ok. The cleanliness was a plus!

United KingdomRoom was very small, missing light in the bathroom… just hanging wires instead and masking tape over the light switch so wasn’t that easy on the eyes. Bed was okay but because it was 2 singles pushing together it left a big crack in the middle which was uncomfortable if you rolled onto it. Door didn’t feel particularly secure as it didn’t lock from outside so just left on latch.
Air con was good and the location was very good, right by san marco square and rialto bridge

NetherlandsWe had some trouble getting the shower on the right temperature and the floor also got really wet after taking a shower.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming and we could store our bags after check-out for a couple of hours. The room was nice, especially the beds were really comfortable. Airconditioning worked well, which was nice. Location is really good.

United StatesThere was no breakfast. We had a double room, and there was very little room to move. I traveled with my family and I have two small kids. The space was so limited that it was uncomfortable to stay. Also, the couch bed was uncomfortable, and the water pressure was terrible.
We liked the location. It is relatively close to St. Mark's Square.

South AfricaThe fridge didn’t work. The nearest parking was 2.5km away and was only accessible by walking and a boat. Tourists could be mislead and think that they need a daily water pass for 21 euros, even though there is a bridge that crosses the grand canal. This however extends the walk to the hotel by around 1km. You have to walk through most of Venice so packing light is advisable.
The air con was perfect for the humid weather and the room represented the vibe of the city well. The bathroom was spacious and had a bidet. The whole building was air conditioned and cool.
