Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

the Palazzo Dragoni is a splendid old building with a history. The views of Spoleto from its windows are breathtaking. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The breakfast is to die for…most of it home made, or local specialties

United KingdomJust lack of bathroom amenities.
Lovely home produced products for breakfast delightfully prepared and laid out. Superb friendly, professional and helpful service. I left a ring in my room and the owner found and returned it to me before we left. Spectacular view and nice traditional room. Only comment that there weren’t basic bathroom products. Otherwise couldn’t recommend highly enough.

ItalyI don't usually give out 10s, but this one is well deserved!! Location - amazingly central. 1 min walk from the Duomo square, from the escalator to go to the Rocca and from the central Piazza dei Mercanti. Room - the room was very large for 2 people, with a very comfortable bed (2 pillows each), with a TV, air conditioning and a GREAT view on the city from the top of the hill. The bathroom was also very big with a modern and spacious shower. *picture of the view from the room attached! Staff - they are all so warmly welcoming and very helpful in giving our tips and indications on what to do/where to go. Breakfast - very nice buffet, with plenty of home-made food (cakes, bread, jams). A waitress will wait for you to fill out your tray and will then bring it to the table for you. Coffee/cappuccinos instead come directly from the kitchen, as well as fresh eggs that can be ordered (both coffee and eggs are included in the price). Free parking - if needed the receptionist will walk you to the private free parking area, just 100m from the hotel. The pparking has a gate, making it safe, to be opened only with a remote from the reception.

United KingdomNothing at all
The hotel is a beautiful building, with stunning views in virtually every direction. Our room was comfortable and tastefully furnished. Breakfast was amongst the best we've had in Italy. And the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. All three restaurant recommendations were spot on, as were their directions to get to one of the churches outside of town. Staying in the heart of a place like Spoleto ought to be a pleasure, but with so good a hotel it became even more memorable.

United StatesIt was all perfect.
Palazzo Dragoni was our best stay on our recent trip to Italy . The owners Roberto and Erminia make you feel like honored guests in their beautiful palazzo. We stayed in 2 rooms -the lovely Number 18, and the wonderful Number 8. When the hosts learned we were travelling for our honeymoon , they moved us to 8 , a HUGE room and bath with a balcony that overlooked Spoleto. AND they left us a chilled bottle of prosecco to drink on that balcony! SO KIND ! The decor matches the stately beauty of the house. Elegant, tasteful window treatments and linens, comfortable chairs and beds, interesting things to look at in every corner you turn( take the stairs, not the elevator, when you can- each level has something to look at- many things related to the Spoleto Festival). The breakfast room is ringed with windows looking out in to Spoleto. The gorgeous flowers on all the tables come from Erminias garden. Breakfast itself is spectacular- an immense buffet laid out in the grand dining room , home made cakes from family recipes, fresh ricotta and local honey, impeccable service, made-to-order eggs and coffee drinks. Roberto was so helpful , answering all of our questions and providing a map and directions. We looked forward to Erminia's breakfast every day. LOVED staying there, and talking to them both. You enjoy a first class experience in every way- and a terrific value. The location , in the center of historic Spoleto, can't be beat. The city of Spoleto itself is charming , and in May , uncrowded. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the convenience of moving walkways that can transport you back and forth between upper and lower Spoleto. The food was great , the sights constantly beautiful. It was a wonderful, wonderful 3 days, and the inn keepers of Palazzo Dragoni were a big part of that. Highly recommended !

United Kingdomthere was absolutely NOTHING we didn’t like - 10/10 all the way.
Absolutely sublime in every way - staff, decor, ambience, view, quality of room, best breakfast ever and bags of character. We felt as though we were special visitors in the 30’s. All staff members were delightful - supremely efficient, helpful and friendly,. There is great attention to detail throughout the hotel but in an understated way - such a difficult balance to strike, achieved here with aplomb. We so wished we were staying for longer and think we might need to make an annual trip. The town itself is also a gem - and the views take your breath away. Waking up to tuneful church bells and birdsong, with swifts swooping around in the skies will stay in our memory for a long time.
