We booked 2 rooms well in advance and requested they be next to each other however when we checked in we were told we were on separate levels and couldn’t be moved as it was booked out. The lock on my balcony door was broken, the maintenance guy looked at it but couldn’t fix it, said he’d return the next day but never did. I spent 3 nights with an unlocked balcony door and felt a little unsafe because of it.

Large rooms, very clean and lovely decor. Buffet Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.

I didn’t love the shower space however, water pressure was amazing. Quality of the bed linens and pillows could be improved. Towels were ok.

Beautiful layout very picturesque, very clean and well maintained, not modern but traditional and majestic perfect for a stay in Calabria. We didn’t have any of the issues mentioned in other reviews. They have definitely done recent upgrades/repairs and continuous improvements being made throughout the property. Would definitely stay here again next time.

This property is very grand and the room was great . Unfortunately we were very early in the season so the Air con wasn’t working and the swimming pool was empty.

The shower was rather small, even if the bathroom itself was spacious enough. The scrambled eggs and bacon in the morning were cold (but I didn't challenge the staff and therefore also don't know what they would have done about it...)

Nice place for staying a night or two if you're by car and can explore the environment and the next villages yourself. The hotel is not within walking distance of anything. Beach access needs transportation, but the staff can organize that for you. The staff is friendly, in general English spoken and very helpful. Even with the bar already closed at 23:00, the night porter showed me the choice of beers they have, asked if I wanted a glass and obviously had the time for a chat.

We loved everything about this hotel the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so delicious, as well as dinner in the restaurant. We loved the vibe and atmosphere especially the pianist/entertainer playing each night. We felt very fancy staying in such luxury.

The weddings

All facilities not available due to weddings everyday. Pool unusable , gym not existent and bar consistently shut . Unfortunate as the hotel is beautiful and staff are great !!

This hotel could be so much better. The air conditioning in the room didn't function during the day. I needed to do some work whilst there and it became unbearably hot. When I went out later in the day, the staff would turn it back on. Not sure how, as no amount of fiddling with the controller would work (?) Although breakfast was good, I couldn't work out whether any evening meal was on offer. The restaurant seemed closed (no staff and lights off). Only when I had been out for food and returned later in the evening, did I find one couple at a table being served. Given this hotel is made out to be a resort hotel, it clearly isn't. Yet it could be. Won't be staying here again.

It's a nice looking hotel, both inside and out. The hotel is conveniently located for all the local towns (if you're driving) not so if you're walking.

Staff were at times unhelpful. The staff wouldn’t provide an iron and insisted you use their laundry service which was average. We also booked shuttles through the hotel which were always late, including up to half an hour late on the day we were leaving.

Nice hotel, the rooms were clean and the pool was good.
