Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgThe gym could have been cleaned a little better and the swimming pool windows. I think at breakfast each table could have its owner server. Having multiple people keep attending to just 2 people was a bit uncomfortable. Some space is also required at the table. We were very late and nearly didn’t make our booking :-( I think the reception could have maybe had a drink waiting on arrival ? Offered an upgrade ? Asking whether they should book the restaurant for us was too pushy when we didn’t even know if we would arrive! The Gotthard Tunnel was closed. The room service pizza was awful. More options should be made available for a hotel like this.
It is a dream! The location by the lake. The gardens. The interior. The spa is beautiful and very private.

ItalyFrankly it was all perfect. Even if the stay comes at a high price point, it is very much deserved as the level and quality of our stay was impeccable.
Overall, it feels the proper Italian experience where simplicity meets understated luxury. Service: spotless. Friendly and easygoing, yet perfect - from the reception, to the valet and luggage service, to the restaurant and bar. Personnel is prepared and professional, but makes you feel “at home”. Room: the attention to detail and quality of the room is beyond exceptional. Every single detail is carefully thought, from silver details (glass saucer, bathroom sets etc). Spacious room and bathroom, warm and cozy, yet maintains the style of its grandeur past. Restaurant: fine dining yet traditional and sensible menu with good portions and peculiar amuse-bouche. Very careful with allergies and pregnancy requirements (quite a combo!). Interesting non alcoholic drinks. Bar: nice selection of light lunch menu, perfect for a quick bite. Spa: amazing. The way the hotel recreated a secluded space in the tunnels below the villa is simply stunning.

BrazilWe have nothing negative to say. Just beware that, if you don’t have a car, you will be a little isolated - Moltrasio is a really tiny villa with not a lot to see. During the winter, taking the ferry is not as pleasant as in the summer, so staying inside has more of an appeal. We didn’t mind that at all, given how absolutely outstanding Passalacqua is.
Passalacqua is just flawless. Everything about the property is jaw-dropping - first the lovely lake views, and then the lavish decor. The details are outstanding - from the signature scent to the flowers and Christmas music, a cozy and elegant environment is created, in the form of a true winter wonderland. Every single staff member is very polite and friendly, going out of their way to make your stay perfect. My husband and I, on our honeymoon, received a very warm welcome and even a room upgrade. We were initially thinking of taking the ferry to explore nearby towns, but were so fascinated by Passalacqua that we decided to just spend our three days enjoying the lovely views. Not even the low temperatures deterred us from enjoying our stay thoroughly. We had both the formal dining experience and the bar food, and both were great. Our thanksgiving dinner was particularly flawless, with both great food and an unforgettable reception with live piano music. Breakfast was also unbelievable- Passalacqua has an amazing selection, and the staff is absolutely amazing at making you feel at home. We were constantly asked if we needed anything, and all of our needs were instantly catered to. The spa was also a highlight. We were given an amazing tour of the installations and had a blast at the newly inaugurated indoor pool. Overall, this was a memorable experience and made our honeymoon unforgettable. We sure hope to be back in the future.

Switzerlandprepare to bring the big wallet - the prices are as fantastic as the property. in particular, we found dinner at the hotel's restaurant to be wildly overpriced, considering the rather average dishes served. you may want to consider some of the lovely other dinner options in town.
can a property that received the highest industry-accolades live up to the sky-high expectations of its guests? passalacqua can. it is a hotel dream come true, a secluded world of wonder for a privileged few. the warm welcome and personal service combined with flawless housekeeping, attention to detail (from the beautiful stationery to the picture-perfect breakfast buffet), immaculate gardening and priceless views made our stay more than memorable. passalacqua is spectacular from a to z.

United Arab EmiratesI didn’t like the food at the restaurant for dinner . Please don’t order the “secret recipe pasta and risotto”. The breakfast is great though.
What lovely gem! So much better than Tremezzo! Only 24 rooms, I had to book 4 months in advance! Loved the cuteness of it, beautiful views, nice pool. Loved the love piano music at the restaurant . Very romantic hotel. Every corner is picture perfect!

United KingdomThe bar menu was quite small and the portions of spaghetti pomodorino (which is full or flavour) was inconsistent. Sometimes I got half the portion as previous. This didn’t affect our stay at all and I recommend this hotel.
It is beautiful. Stunning. There’s music and scents to set the mood everywhere. Everywhere smells good and the attention to detail given by staff is amazing. The outdoor areas are lovely to explore. The pool area is so beautiful. Because the property only had about 24 rooms, it sorta feels like you have whatever space you’re in to yourself. They have free activities like gelato making and wine tasting rooms enjoy. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The bed is high which I love and the pillows are soft. The TV is hidden like a mirror on the wall. The bathroom has a separate bath, and not one but 3! Dyson hair appliances including the Dyson air wrap. I loved styling my hair in the bathroom. Breakfast was a good selection of buffet and made to order items. You can choose to have breakfast in the main building or room service. I had lunch at the bar for the duration of my stay and then dinner either at the restaurant or off site.

SwitzerlandEverything was perfect - nothing to not like!
The hotel is a real gem and absolutely amazing. Having stayed at most of the top tier hotels at Lake Como - this one stands out - a lot. The staff is very attentive and friendly - always with a smile and a helpful hand. The rooms are spectacular, spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast was on the point and all the food was very tasty and well balanced. The hotel offers on site various activities like tennis, fitness, swimming pool and boccia - all with an incredible view on the lake. Overall the hotel is true magic and makes it easy to relax, enjoy the beautiful lake views and to be sophisticatedly pampered.

SwitzerlandI came here for birthday celebration, however nothing special happened - no room upgrade, no special setup, not even a simple greeting - which indeed let me down a bit. Activity is nice - we love the flower class - however there is too little activities provided in the hotel (only 1 activity available on Saturday, compared to 3 activities on weekdays).
Great lake view, great history on the building. Very generous mini-bar (though beverage only, not too much on snack). Excellent breakfast, dinner at bar is so so (dessert is great!). I do love the high-tech build-in with a traditional retro style room.
