Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThere is never anyone at the reception. The price is a little high given it's not a hotel.
The guest house is ideally located very near the Levanto train station which is great to go visit que Cinque Terre. The room was modern, quiet, and clean.

Costa RicaHowever, our sink backed up and didn’t drain well, and the room could have used a deeper cleaning. Despite these issues, it was still a good stay overall."
The Pavian is in a convenient location, just a short walk from the train station and not far from the beach. (Great location for exploring Cinque Terre). The room and bathroom were reasonably sized, with a very comfortable bed. Bar Levanto nearby is for breakfast and aperitivo.

SwedenCleaning was a bit lack luster and the service was poor. No one was ever in the reception. When you got a hand of the owners it was often hard to get your point across because of their poor English (not really their fault).
Close to the train station as well as the city center but at the same time also located on a quite street. Comfy bed and good AC.

IrelandLinens, bathroom, surfaces etc were spotlessly clean, however the floor was a bit dusty- needed a mopping. Very small quibble though otherwise a great stay.
This is an apartment that has been renovated to be three en-suite rooms. Up a steep stairs but only one flight. The room is nicer than the photos appear. Very convenient location 5 mins walk from the train (but the station is uphill, this is the Ligurian coast! It’s hilly!) Easy flat walk into the village and beach.

SpainWe did not know that we would have to pay 10€ extra for parking our car in the property. They were really nice though and let us park the car until the next day at 2pm.
The room was very clean and modern. The bed is really comfortable and the place is really close to the train station which is perfect to visit the cinque terre.

Sweden- Some support when asked about the attractions could be more than “talk to a tourist agency in the city centre” - be advised about the stairs that can be a challenge to old and young people.

AustraliaYou have to climb a large staircase with all your luggage to get to the front door. The staff aren’t super responsive online but make up for it in person.
The young man that assisted with check in and check out was lovely!! He assisted with bags and calling a taxi at checkout. The room was brilliant and the complimentary supplies were nice. Great if you like a really independent living situation.

1. The hotel is very close to the train station, just a 5-minute walk away. 2. The room is large, clean, tidy, fully equipped and warm. 3. The staff is very enthusiastic and helped to carry the luggage upstairs. 4. Luggage can be stored after check-out, which is convenient for travelers.
