Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms are very small but not uncomfortable. A bit over decorated for my taste. There are 3 flights of stairs to climb to get to reception from the outside. Wasn’t a problem for us but if you have problem climbing stairs this isn’t the hotel for you.
Great location and the receptionist Annette is fabulous 10 out of 10 for her. Couldn’t do enough to help Good shower and a huge variety of food and drinks are supplied in the room. Great when you have a youngster with you.

United KingdomThe walls are a bit thin so the guests staying up late next to us bothered us a little at night - but the hotel provided us with earplugs which alleviated the problem.
Charming little hotel, excellently located within walking distance to most of the famous Roman landmarks. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. So many free food options in the room, we were amazed at the variety! And even then, the manager treated us to some free Moscato at our arrival which was so lovely! As a bonus, we had a great view on the ruins right outside our window with some cute local cats roaming around. We'd definitely come back, and recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Rome.

CyprusNo elevator, the reception is on the 2nd floor and the rooms are on the 2nd-3rd floor (maybe 4th??)- however the staff can assist you with the luggages.
This accommodation was perfect for me and my friend. Central location, vibe of Ancient Rome, very unique decoration of the rooms, very clean, friendly staff, a fridge full of stuff to eat anytime + other eatables outside such as croissant, pancakes + coffee, hot chocolate, tea etc. Restocked daily!! It is important to also note the 24/7 reception, you can leave your luggages before check in after check out. Annetta also recommended a very good restaurant, gave advice on public transportation, Honestly, we got more than we expected with this accommodation. Highly recommend!!

United KingdomThe room was a little overcrowded. It had a double and a single bed but if there had been three people in the room it would have been very cramped. The shower was quite noisy.
The location was perfect for all the major attractions and the staff were incredibly helpful. It was a quirky little place and although the room was a little cramped, there were all sorts of gadgets to use. The lighting was good and the breakfast items supplied in the fridge and on the shelf were varied and typical for a continental breakfast.

IrelandNothing .......if i was to nit pick......perhaps the room could have been a little bigger.......but this is only a small quibble as I would very happily go back again
Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. A very warm welcome and the friendliness continued right throughout our stay. Annetta is a real lady and always ready to help in any way she can. Hitel is very clean, and the room was exceptionally well stocked with ingredients for both breakfast and lunch if required!!!! The location was perfect.... walking distance to Vatican and the Collesium. And just around the corner from the Jewish Quarter, where you will find some great restaurants

FranceThe rooms are a bit small, but this is pretty normal for Rome unless you are big budget
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is really quirky, with quite over the top furnishings, but that is what makes it unique. Each room also has tea and coffee making facilities as well, unusually, an extremely well stocked fridge. Breakfast is in your room with items from the fridge
