Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe smell is hard to handle when you enter into the apartment, but it goes away after leaving the door open for a while. Also we didn't have wifi, but it was written in the description

PortugalThe description said a room with a kitchen, like a studio apartment, but in reality, they were rooms sharing the same kitchen. We were shocked when we opened the room and there was another person inside who even asked if we had entered the right room. It wasn't described in the room or property terms they shared rooms like this.
The host was kind and attentive through messages and provided us with all the support before our stay, as it was a self-checkin. He helped us with a modification of the reservation without any problems.

CanadaWe were expecting to use the washer and dryer, but one of the machines wasn't working, and the cleaning staff had the other full off accommodation linens and towels. Also, it wasn't the hosts fault, but we didn't enjoy the shared washrooms.
The location was excellent. Clean and comfortable.

The property is very well located. Everything was clean and available. Just as shown in the photos. They were quick in responses.

RomaniaThe kitchen was lacking some basic stuff: no teaspoons, no kitchen towel or paper towels, no dishwashing soap and the only vessel for making coffee was an aluminium coffee pot you couldn't use on the induction cooker.
Nice and clean place in a nice neighbourhood. Since I did't came to Rome to spend my time in the room I didn't mind it being in the basement. The clean design and cozy lighting compensated enough.

SerbiaThe apartment is in the basement, so there was a noticeable damp smell when we entered. As a result, all the bedding and towels had a damp odor. We bought an air freshener, and the air purifier was running constantly, so it was fine. In front of the building, there is a park full of homeless peoples who sleep there. We didn’t have any unpleasant experiences with them.
The apartment has the potential to be perfectly arranged, it has a jacuzzi that works great, and there is a speaker that can be connected to a phone. It has everything needed for a normal life for the next 7 days.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaWe did not know in advance that the kitchen was shared with one more room. We did not use the kitchen so it was not important to us, but the guests whom we shared it with were using it and everything smelled of cooking and too-strong spices. We would not book it if we knew that the kitchen is shared. The worst thing is the humidity in the bathroom. It is because the heating in the bathroom does not work and also, the towels can not dry because of that. The sheets are really uncomfortable because they are not well fitted. You should use the one that you can zip. The host does not speak English very well which is bad for this kind of the business.
The accommodation was clean except the humidity in the bathroom which really bothered me since it is smelly.

United StatesWifi kept going in and out. Could only access it from the kitchen area - not the sleeping room. Horrible horrible smell from the bathroom. When asked if there was a fix or if could switch rooms was ignored for 2 days then told nothing available and host denied knowledge of a smell. Note: laundry only accepts 50 cent or 1 euro coins.
Fabulous coffee shop nearby. Several options for food/ bars. Even a cinema nearby. Well served by public transport. Grocery nearby. So pretty convenient. Elevator worked. Access to kitchen and laundry nice. Amount of space nice. Felt safe. Started out clean.

United KingdomThe apartment was a 2 bedroom with a shared kitchen. Was absolutely fine for us, but didn’t realise until after we booked so would be good for others to know in case they expect a private accomodation.
The location was perfect for what we needed. We came to Rome for the Ryder Cup at Marco Simone golf club and the location was very close to the relevant transport in a really charming and quiet neighbourhood which was far away from the tourist ness of Rome. It is also very close to the Soho House of Rome which was very handy, just a 25 minute walk or 15 minute tram
