Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesA great setting with a vineyard and olive grove to wander through. Less than 3 minutes by car to the entrance to the old city. Conad grocery store within 3 minutes. The host? All three were great! Friendly? Over the top! And the breakfast was delicious with farm fresh eggs, pastries and breakfast pizza’s.

United StatesI missed the part about paying for utilities. It stated you would pay for supplements that you would use during your stay. I guess that means gas for furnace and hot water. In the USA We call it utilities. It was an additional 20 euros for the 2 nights. She did point it out at checkin but by that point I couldn’t cancel. Wording I felt was confusing and that is the only reason I gave 8 stars otherwise a 10 for me. Just want other people to be aware of the additional charges.
You felt like you were in the country, yet so close to the center. Within walking distance 15 minutes up hill. Adorable home decorated with beautiful antiques. Hosts were excellent and breakfast was amazing for the value.

EstoniaVery special venue which have different type of rooms/apartments. Nice pool with the sunbathing area. We stayed in the very end of October it was still very warm and nice. There are two lovely dogs and cats living in premises and chickens also. Very cozy and nice place. We loved the way they served private breakfast and our apartment had a really private and big terrace also we enjoyed. Tha house has big and romantic olive tree garden to walk ander or just to be viewd. The hosts were really nice and friendly - still rembering Letizias smile. Place has also a great location, it takes a nice walk to the centre, though it's a steep walk we enjoyed it twice a day. We would like to go back again!

Charming old fashioned authentic Podere. Lovely rural feel, just what we wanted from our Tuscan stay, yet close to the town, 10 min walk up the hill (bring a head lamp/ torch for the walk back home). The breakfast (fabulous selection) served in the morning, brought to our patio in the morning by the lovely family, was incredibly delicious, especially the fried egg! Great base for exploring!

You can feel the atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside here, and at the same time it is a 15-minute walk from Montepulciano. RomaniaIt was a very beautiful accommodation. The location was excellent, close to the historic center, just a 10-minute walk away. A stunning view, with a beautifully arranged yard. The room was clean, very welcoming, decorated in the classic style of the Tuscany region. Breakfast was included, and the staff was extremely friendly. For a complete experience, I recommend this place

United StatesThis was an absolutely beautiful property just outside of the walls of montepulciano. The view overlooking Tuscany was stunning, as was the villa and grounds itself. The family were very kind and helpful and provided a beautiful breakfast each morning. The room was very comfortable and had a nice view. Getting into montepulciano was fairly easy (uphill) but not a far walk, amazing to stay in a Tuscan villa while still being walking distance to montepulciano. Was a very calming place and would definitely come back again!

AustraliaJust a few things to consider if booking here… the property is around a 20 minute steep incline walk up to the town, don’t think it would be safe to do the walk in the dark! Not too much of an issue for us as we had a car (the property has amble parking). The shower in the room was very very small with little room to turn around, but we are quite used to that now in Italian hotels! Additionally the double bed is just two single beds pushed together which gradually moved apart during the night! My partner ended up in the trench! Overall would recommend the stay here I think the price matches the amenities provided.
We were very excited to stay here and loved the family dogs greeting us upon arrival. The property itself is understated and gorgeous, our room overlooked a shrove of olive trees and many rows of grapevines full of grapes! We loved the communal breakfast with homemade eggs and coffee from the property. We even enjoyed a swim in the pool. Overall our stay was quiet and relaxing.

Polandamazing place, host is kind and energetic, is always there. Nice pool, place is surrounded with green, we had a view on a vineyard from our room. Room itself was not big, but enough for two people, and was clean. Free parking space, also breakfast option is available (breakfast itself was good, I recommend). Walking to the old town is a bit complicated, as it is 20+ minutes by foot and uphill, we were driving there. There are also two dogs, which accompany you during breakfast, they are friendly.
