Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SloveniaOne bathroom for 6 people - it was fine now, because we were only 3, but it made me wonder, how is it when full.
I liked the location very much - it was just next to the station and 15min from the city centre. It's more like an apartament, what made it very comfy. Good beds.

AustraliaThey kick you out for 3 hours of the day to clean, which i think if you're paying for a hostel you should always be allowed in your room. The shower on and off worked for heating. My main concern was the mosquito problem. I got eaten alive for 3 nights in a row even with windows shut. I've never experienced that in all my life.
Very clean hostel

FinlandNeed to bring my own toilet paper. There was only 1 toilet paper roll for each person per day and it wasn't enough. Many times we ran out of toilet paper and were in trouble. Cleaning time was quite long between 11-14 and in that time you couldn't really use kitchen or bathroom. Also the staff was very strict about the rules for example keeping the room tidy, which meant that you needed to keep your luggage closed and close to your bed, shoes in lockers and no things in tables, chairs or floor. When the staff was cleaning the room, they could move your things in the room and they even put someone's bags outside the apartment in the stairs during the cleaning, which was weird. The upper beds were quite noisy structure.
Location was good, the train station was very close and walk to the center was 20 minutes. Hostel was very calm, people went to sleep quite early. Other stayers were friendly and nice and from many different countries. Bathroom was okay. It was nice that there were water available in the fridge and recommendations about restaurants etc. in Verona. Considering that this was the cheapest option, the experience was good expect some downsides, which I'll talk about next.

ItalyIt felt unsafe as a female solo traveler as the bedroom doors don’t have locks on them. The hostel is in a different location as stated online too. As someone who stays in hostels regularly it didn’t feel like a hostel was more like co-living, and I debated leaving after the first night because I didn’t feel comfortable there.

SingaporeNo lift for second floor hostel. Location is far from groceries and city center. So think twice if going to be here for a while. Locker requires a specific size padlock or else you’ll have to purchase one.
Setup is ideal for solo travel. Plenty of storage and public facility to use.

GermanyVery nice hostel and kind staff. It is cleaned everyday and kept very organized, the kitchen has a lot of supplies and some free ingredients for the guests. The rooms are climatized wich makes them very comfortable during the summer, besides having a little balcony with a sofa where you can just chill.

AustraliaIt’s true about the bed bugs, at first I booked because I’ve never had any issue with any hostel with bed bugs but I am littered all over my body with bites. On my arm, legs, stomach and even my neck all have bites! I only had one night left so there was nothing I could do because the damage was already done. Now for the rest of my holiday I feel uncomfortable with the amount of bug bites I have all over my body. I’m not sure whether they even clean their sheets. If you choose to stay here, spray your body with insect repellent (I recommend going somewhere else because the stay wasn’t worth the money)🫥

Alberto was really welcoming and helpful and gave us a range of recommendations for local events and places to eat. Facilties were really clean, beds were super comfy and the hostel itself is so close to central Verona and the train station, would recommend!

PolandThis is the BEST PLACE I could've find! It provides you everything you'll need and even more! Perfect, safe localization (few minutes from train and bus station), great equipment, incredibly friendly atmosphere around rest of the guests (during stay, I got new connections from England, Colombia, Mexico) and very helpful Host - you can expect fast response to your questions. The place is very clean, wi-fi connection is very well (I was working remotely). I was here for three nights, went for two-day trip to the Garda lake and came back for the last night before my flight. I will recommend this hostel for all my friends.

AustriaChoosing Posada Verona hostel (Alberto is the name of the owner) was a grave mistake. The experience was an absolute nightmare. 1. **Unauthorized Intrusion and Mishandling**: Our room was inappropriately accessed without our consent, and our valuables were tampered with. Additionally, our precious belongings, including cameras and iPads, were carelessly packed into thin trash bags. The bags, being fragile, allowed our camera to damage our iPad inside. 2. **False Accusations and Unjust Eviction**: I was wrongly accused of smoking for merely using a towel to wipe my shoes. Due to this misunderstanding, I was abruptly evicted from the hotel. Worst of all, our valuable items and pricey electronics were stuffed into garbage bags and left outside. The owner then kicked and stepped on these bags, as can be seen in the attached video. [Video Link] 3. **False Advertising**: The breakfast provided was entirely different from what was advertised. 4. **Arrogant Communication**: The staff refused to clarify the situation and exhibited a condescending attitude towards us. Moreover, several of our items went missing. This goes beyond mere service issues; it's a sheer act of misconduct. I strongly discourage anyone from using this hotel. If you value your safety and privacy, it would be best to choose another accommodation. If you are reading this review and wish to avoid our traumatic experience, I urge you to reconsider booking with this hotel. Video Link: https://youtu.be/mJbecFwG-EY
