Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The location is perfect. Very close to Metro, Coliseum and a central train station. The furniture and the bath not new, but clean. We had everything what we needed.

Everything was perfect
The hotel has a great location, very convenient and close to everything. It’s clean, well-organized, and offers a very good price for the quality. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

Washroom could be a little better.
It was good value for money, Location is close to train and metro stations. Loads of food options in the area and above all Paulo is a great host with smooth communication and always available.

Paolo was great, very helpful . Not far from the center. Everything is within walking distance! They refill your capsules when they clean the room.

The location is excellent, really close to the centre, we have really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, there was a coffee machine and coffee pods in all rooms, the rooms are cleaned everyday.

Everything was in walking distance from here. We loved the espresso machine, nice touch. The towels were soft, comfortable bed with two pillows. Was nice to have the water cooler in the hallway to fill up our bottles. Excellent communication with Paolo before and during our stay. Everything was clean, fresh towels daily. We had a great stay.

The biggest dislike was the length of the shower tube... If it would be 10 cm longer it would be perfect 😀

- the towels smelled weird, like they've been washed only with water, so we've been a bit reluctant using them, but anyway we didn't have any other option - the furniture looks quite old and it was a bit damaged here and there - i didn't actually had a problem with that but i do think it had a price quite high for that
The location was good - pretty close to the train station which really helped to get to our shuttle to/from the airport. The place was clean, seemed like someone came in every day for cleaning. And i can't forget but mention the beds which were really comfortable - highly needed after 10h walking each day.

The shower head perhaps needs repairing - as it fell down sometimes, but this wasn't a major issue for us.
We really enjoyed our stay here. We had booked accommodation last minute and for the price point (given that it's Rome in the peak of summer) we were really happy. The room was good - nothing super fancy but it was a good place to come and soak in the air con after being in the intense heat! The neighbourhood it was in was very cute - there was a park nearby that was always lively and lots of little bars around. 7 minute walk from Termini station and 20 minute walk the colosseum. Very close to 2 metro stations and the host and cleaners were lovely.
