Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe bathroom had limited shelving for toiletries (specifically in/near the shower), the TV was not a Smart TV and therefore was practically useless to an English traveller who doesn’t speak Italian fluently.
centrally located outside the congestion zone, close to lots of restaurants and 2 taxi ranks. the staff were very friendly.

NorwayIt was not possible to lock the room from the inside without having a key. This is not acceptable if one wants to go to bed earlier than another. It's okay to be in the room when the door is locked and you don't have the key to get out.

The location was very good for us - close to the sightseeing center but not so crowded with tourists. The area has good restaurants and cafeterias for a perfect start of the day. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, they answered to all our questions and gave us recommendations.

BelgiumFor what im ised to, the street outside was quite noisy despite the double glasses on the window. However the hotel offeres earplugs to mitigate the issue.
The room had everything you need and was of good size. Location was great for my stay and a short bike ride to most of the main sightseeing area. Staff was extremely nice and communication before and during the stay was excellent.

United KingdomSmell of drains coming from the bidet. Shower very slow to drain No safe box at first and then one that wasn't fixed to the wall. Cups and drinks not replenished daily. Shower taped up and huge crack in the wash basin.
Proximity to bus routes. Good sized room.

BelgiumThe bathroom was clean, but sometimes smelled a little bit. But this can easily be fixed. Road can be pretty noisy.
Nice location to visit Rome. 10 min walk from metrostation. Room was very spacious and clean. If you buy the vouchers for breakfast, you get a pretty decent one at Don Nino (right around the corner). Staff was very helpfull.

Great localization if you like walking, all the main things to see are pretty close on foot. Free WiFi was working great so it was easy for us to plan the day. Room was cleaned everyday.

AustraliaThe room was a bit cold and we didn’t realise until our last morning that there were extra blankets in the cupboard. The wifi also didn’t quite reach our room - we had roaming data so this was fine, but could be an issue if you don’t.
Super cute apartment around heaps of nice cafes and bars. The location was just a quick bus ride into all the main attractions of Rome, while still being out of the way to have a very quiet time. The staff were super helpful and lovely. Not much to the room but the bed, which was comfy and big enough. The window also had a lovely view of the garden which felt very Italian.

GermanyFront rooms view a busy street, so you have to sleep with windows closed, could be problem in summer, it was OK in the autumn. Sound isolation is quite bad. Room equipment is not in best condition (e.g. clothes hanger). The keys to lock/unlock the rooms don't fit very well. Reception is only available after 09:30, not useful for early checkout. Getting the invoice for business purposes didn't really work.
Great location, nice room with high ceiling, clean and well equipped. Beautiful old building with great interior and nice view from the window.
